We have rarely had such poor service in a restaurant in years. We made a reservation extra early because we had another engagement after dinner. However, the waiter seemed perplexed and bothered when we asked for separate checks. The restaurant was not crowded and he finally took our entree order after we had been seated for over 20 minutes - that was a bit long. But then it took over an hour from the time we ordered for our food to come (actually about 70 minutes). We asked the waiter about it on several occasions. He told us our orders were behind several other tables and asked us to be patient. In the meanwhile, about six or seven other tables that were seated well after us received their entrees. We finally got our meals and my dish was OK, really no complaints. But my wife's lasagna was literally burnt on top and she couldn't eat it. It was too late to ask for another lasagna or another entree because we were running late for our next engagement. We complained to the manager and, thankfully, he took her order off the bill. In all fairness, we have been to Il Montebello several times before with somewhat better results. However, this experience was unacceptable.

We were here earlier this summer. Great food and nice atmosphere. We had a waiter who definitely didn’t want to be there and rolled his eyes at us when had a request.

The service is horrendous, possibly the worst I have experienced. Do not bother eating here. If you're going to pretend to be high end you should at least hire experienced wait staff.

Service and atmosphere is top notch. Beware of the claimed home made meatballs - they looked and tasted like they were from Costco.

Parking: May be challenging during tee time, spaces free up approaching dusk.

Wheelchair accessibility: Appears wheelchair accessible.

Il Montebello is wonderful and completely overlooked. The service was good overall, but I understand because it was busy and they were understaffed. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Everyone was so nice and inviting, I will definitely come back in the future. I fully recommend this for everyone, although the price is a bit much, I think its worth the price.

My Chicken Française was cooked perfectly and the homemade linguine was a nice treat. The sauce was awesome. My wife had the branzino which was brought to the table and presented to her cooked whole. Then the presenter stepped away and filleted the fish expertly before returning to the table with the beautifully arranged dish and her vegetable selection. She is European and was happy to see that kind of effort and service made here. The fish was delicate and delicious. All of the servers were well mannered and pleasant. They were attentive but not overly so. We had a 1 y.o. with us, and requested a baby seat while making a reservation. We got a table next to a window & slightly removed from the other diners. While the baby wasn't too loud, there were a couple of screams. The other diners did not seem disturbed. We were happy about that. There was also a children's menu. The homemade limon cello was a nice end to the meal. Great place!

Lunch with 5 ladies. We lunch every Tuesday. We have moved this restaurant to the number 1 spot on our rotation. Absolutely delicious.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy for us to get in. I use a rollater. One friend uses a cane. Very easy.

We had our company Christmas Party there. Everything was great. Amazing food & drinks( best espresso martini I’ve ever had), the staff were attentive and pleasant. I look forward to going again for dinner soon. Thank You from Jamie and the staff of Shoreline Pools!

Well let me start by saying that the owner is absolutely rude and very abrasive. We wanted the blinds up by our table and he refused to put them up so it was so dark in there. Then the calamari was dripping with oil it was disgusting and then to boot the chicken wasn't cooked fully and part raw and another oily dish too. We were so disgusted we paid and walked out! Please don't waste your money there. Go to places where the owner isn't who he is! Go to people restaurants with class . This a complete mistake sham on them for operating like that

We live close by and have tried this establishment 5 times over last six years. Very mixed experiences. Tonight was first time in two years. While the staff is pleasant and attentive, this is without a doubt the worst Italian food on the Cape. I had a Veal Parm that tasted like a dirty oven accompanied by under cooked penne pasta, my wife did not enjoy her Elmers Glue cheese raviolis, with a sauce that was on par with canned Ragu … meatballs ok and the bread pretty good but not worth the time. Find another place and their are a few better options close by!

I can’t say enough about this place I visit the Cape about six times a year and I stop by for dinner every time. I haven’t had a bad meal once and I am treated like royalty personally by the owner a bit pricey, but well worth it after the meal, you get a complementary homemade Lemoncello shot.
