It's been a while since our last visit to the Cape and the Keltic Kitchen. It was nice to know not much has changed and that's a good thing. Service was great and quick as the coffee was refilled before I finished the cup (a plus to me). My wife had the Irish Benny as that is her go-to breakfast and she enjoyed it. I have the Keltic Kitchen hash and eggs. There's one of the better hashes I've had and enjoyed every bite. It is my dish for judging breakfast food. The menu has been updated a little since our last visit and would say that's a good sign. When we're back in the area we'll be back.

I visited for the very first time with my husband today. The food and service were absolutely amazing. We were seated as soon as we walked in on Easter Sunday. My husband had the meat lovers omelet, and I had the veggie omelet with their homemade brown bread. Let me tell you you need to try the brown bread. I think it almost tastes like corn bread. Their home fries are seasoned perfectly, and the coffee was so good. Ooh, and the portions are plenty. We live out of town, but when we're in the area, we'll definitely be back. I highly recommend Keltic Kitchen.

The Corned Beef Hash is so good we drive all the way here from Falmouth. Nothing even compares to it. That’s how good this place is.

This used to be a favorite stop for me. On a recent visit, I had the short-haired female server and due to her behavior, I will never return to this establishment. When I arrived at around 7:45 am, I had to wait to be offered coffee because my server was busy chatting with the other server. I waited and watched my server, as she continuously followed 2nd server around to chat. The 2nd server was busily attending to her customers but not my gal. Okay, finally she got around to making contact with me, giving me her phony sweetness. I got an okay meal, not the same cook as my last visit and not as good an omelette as my previous visit. Okay, I can deal with that. But when I received the check, there were different amounts on the bill. Cash total was $17.60. Just below that line on the bill, another Total indicated $18.22....the bill did not specify whether the higher amount was for use with credit card. The line amount was labeled "Total". Confusing, so I whipped out a $20 bill to pay with cash. Short-haired server (at the counter) returned my change and although the math would warrant her to give me $2.40, I only received $2 back. Confused, I asked her why I didn't receive my forty cents, which was going to be given back to her as a tip. I would have looked cheap giving only $2 tip, I'm sure I would have been talked about after leaving if I had been so cheap. So I asked where the rest of my money was. I was given some 'baloney' about how they are rounding up or down on the bill. HUH? Was this explained to me upon my arrival? NO. A resident later told me that some restaurants on the Cape are trying to eliminate the use of change and want to handle cash money in bill form only. HUH? If that's the case, this should be explained clearly to the consumer. Server had a smirk as she tried to explain their concept, then she grudgingly returned my forty cents (so I could give it back to her for tip). Bottom Line: Here I have found another restaurant treating the customer as a liability instead of an asset. Do you supposed my server spoke well of me after I left? Unbelievable! Bad attitude, service and fraudulent practices from one representative of this business. Customers beware! I've been recommending this place verbally for years. Now I'm giving everyone a written heads up about the crummy vibe you might experience here like I did.
