I’m really disappointed with my recent visit.

The food was cold.

Staff didn’t seem to know where our order was.

The fountain drink had no flavor or carbonation.

This location used to be great, but unfortunately, the new renovations don’t make up for the lack of service and poor food quality.

This is the worst a&w I've been to. In the drive thru the speaker is horrible and could not understand the person. They missed one milkshake and I got a plain burger instead of a mozza burger that I was charged for

Man oh woman

A&W is a staple here in Manitoba—most spots are good, some even great. But the Lowson location? Hands down the ultimate best. No exaggeration. The food here looks exactly like it does in the ads, and better yet, it tastes just as good. Every burger, every fry, every coffee—always hot, always fresh, always on point. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, more than 50 visits, and not once have they missed the mark. Consistency like that deserves a standing ovation.

I had a very disappointing experience at this A&W location this morning. I arrived around 8:30 AM to order breakfast and a cappuccino. I genuinely enjoy A&W, so I was looking forward to starting my day with a good meal. After placing my order, I paid and even left a tip.

A few minutes later, the screen showed that my order was ready—but no one gave it to me. I waited over 10 minutes. Other customers even noticed and asked why I hadn’t received my food yet. I had no answer, as I was just standing there waiting while being ignored.

The employees were all speaking different languages among themselves and seemed more focused on their conversation than on helping customers.

When I politely asked about my cappuccino, one staff member simply said it wasn’t brewing, then started making it—without offering any apology or explanation. I still received no clear communication or acknowledgment of the delay. Another customer sitting nearby asked me why I hadn’t asked for a refund, since it was clear I was being overlooked.

Eventually, I gave up and left without receiving my order.

I understand that people come from different backgrounds and speak different languages, but in a customer-facing role—especially during busy morning hours—clear communication is essential. Please consider scheduling at least one team member who can communicate effectively in English to ensure a better experience for all customers.

we went through the drive thru, the lady said we had to wait. that was fine. what wasn't fine is that we were waiting for over 10 minutes to get a 3-piece chicken strip bag. not even a meal. my mother had to go in and tell them. they then gave her the chicken strips. two people went through behind us and left with their food. absolutely lazy hires. no sense of urgency whatsoever.

Called to place pickup order the girl on phone couldn’t understand basic English. I told her I wanted to place order she said come inside and place it I had to explain myself and then she took my order. The audacity to ask me why and to tell me how to order Rajpreet or rajmeet was the name evening staff.

One of the worst A&W's I've been to for food and staff. The staff seemed annoyed to be talking to customers and just wanted to talk to each other and ignore customers.
The burger was dryer than cardboard, like it's been sitting under a heat lamp all day. It was terrible and the worst than A&W burger I've ever had.
Will not be going back and advise others to avoid this location.
