The Guinness Tavern by the Double Decker

Used to go this place all the time back when the old owners were still around I guess? Used to be awesome. Some of the best wings I’ve had! Went there last week place was completely dead. Looks awful inside.

Went with friends last night and they had cock roaches walking by us on the counter while we had a drink like disgusting! Took a video! Will be calling the health inspector to send to them that’s disgusting you serve food!

Double Decker – Terrible Experience for Two

I write reviews often, and this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Brandon.

It was just two of us, and somehow they still managed to mess it up. Our meals came out 20 minutes apart—so one of us sat there awkwardly waiting while the other tried not to let their food get even colder. Speaking of the food: it was soggy, cold, and way overpriced for what we got.

To make it worse, the bar counter was sticky, like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or disinfected in years. That alone should’ve been a red flag.

Service was indifferent, the food was awful, and the prices are ridiculous for the lack of quality. Double Decker has gone completely downhill—I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The wings where tasty and had good crunch but had two that where suspiciously red and i didnt want to take the chance eating them. The staff where great and super nice, but the drinks..... tasted like 80% lime and honestly couldnt tell there was alchohol in them at all. Prices where good but just felt like the food and drinks where lacking in any wow factor.

I fancied a Guinness at the heavily advertised Guinness Tavern Guess what! No Guinness! How the hell on Gods Earth do you Run out of Guinness!!

Best butter chicken that I've had in town! Wonderful owners, personable staff, and great service!

We went there early, soon after their opening. It was quiet. The service was excellent. Food was served fresh and timely. The fries were crisp. Everyone was extremely warm and our server was constantly checking with us if we needed anything. We felt genuinely welcomed. We will return for sure.

They offer traditional Canadian food like poutine, ribs, burgers, sandwiches, and salads with a variety of combinations and options for your palate. My favorite are the chicken wings. I've tried them all and I love them because they have a unique flavor, and I haven't found another place that can match them because they always maintain their quality and flavor. They also offer a five-star Indian menu. Great customer service, and definitely if you want to go alone or with others, whether to enjoy a sporting event or just want to eat and drink, this is the place to go.

Went for dinner tonight, tried to order a pickle ceasar,ended up with. Regular ceasar, not the end of the world, but It took 30 minutes to get. Extremely slow service, ordered a rare steak, it came out well done, the waitress seemed upset I was sending it back. She came back and asked what else she could get me, I said how about the steak I ordered, then she informed me they didn’t have anymore steaks. Due to dietary issues steak is my go to, so I ended with order of French fries, which came out after everyone else was done eating. No apology, no discount. Very disappointed.
