Took my parents here for supper. It was a wonderful experience. Friendly, caring staff, with a seniors menu that can't be beat. We all ordered something different from the menu and it was all delicious. My parents are still talking about it. This will be a "must go-to" place with them when I'm visiting.

Do you ever just go to a restaurant and you’re just blown away by how bad the food and customer service is?That is the experience we had at Mum’s Family Restaurant in Brandon. The food was very under seasoned (no seasoning in their burger patty, it’s literally only ground beef formed into a patty). The pork chops were very undercooked and the fries were soaking in grease.Instead of offering to make my burger right or replace it they said that’s how they are and gave me seasoning salt (which didn’t help at that point). We have eaten there before and it was never like that.They asked to replace my husband’s pork but it was tasteless and undercooked and at that point he didn’t want to eat the pork. We wanted another option but that was a no.They left us sitting while the food got cold and ignored us while rudely talking about us around the corner. I only got help when I had to ask for a server to come over. That’s when the staff was rude again and said the owner had to come down which took 20 minutes.After waiting we explained to the owner what happened I was wary of letting them make me more food at this point. The owner offered 50% off the bill. I said fine and we would never return again.There were so many times when this could have been made right but the staff didn’t seem to have a clue about how to handle the complaint. It’s really too bad because the food and service was always so good here. We just won’t be returning because of it.Here’s a picture of the undercooked pork chops ?.
