“Very good buffet. I tried just about everything and it did not disappoint. The deep fried fish was succulent and juicy. I don’t even like fish, but I loved that. If you are in Gimli, definitely check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.”

“The place is inside the Viking hotel, which needs a bit of an update. They have a large dining room, customer service is good, the food is always great, you can ask for them to nudge up the spice level depending on your taste, they will let you know if there is a wait time for take out, they are very popular for call in orders, so if you are patient, it will pay off. Their food is always hot, fresh, when we have ordered it, if you buy more than $65 you get free chicken fried rice or fried Wontons with sweet &sour sauce. Large portions, for plenty of leftovers!

“It was my first time here this morning. I was completely impressed with the taste of my food. The only thing wrong was they gave me the wrong kind of bread, however when told about it, the waitress apologized and got me what I ordered. I had breakfast and found what I had to be a reasonable price. I would recommend their breakfast for sure. Plus the view is lovely. I went on a Monday morning and the service was great! 👍”

“Was pleasantly surprised while sitting in to eat here the other day. My food was great. Mozza burger with fries and gravy. My girlfriend had some sort of chicken wrap. The only thing I'd say is that the coleslaw shouldn't be inside the chicken wrap. Messed up the flavors but otherwise food was good to me.”

“We have been to this DQ many times and have never had a bad experience. The staff is super friendly and welcome us with smiles. The food is just the right portions for us. Saves the wife from having to cook. Keep up the good work guys.

“Subway is good, you can get most items added or removed, bread, the way you want it. My only issue is the increased price, for bread, veggies, meat, and cheese. For $20, you could make your own at home, but since this is a fast food place, they make for a fraction of the time, and you can get with different dressings/ sauces. The staff are always courteous and helpful.”

“January 1/2023 Stopped in for lunch Thursday on our way to Hecla from Wpg and it was so good we stopped in on our way home Sunday Cheeseburgers and gyros and fries for our fam of 4. Insane…..best cheeseburger I’ve had in years !! I’ve had VJ’s, George’s, Burger Place, Dairy Wip, Mrs Mikes and more and this burger blows them all away. Large homemade patty, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Chili on burger was meaty and great flavour. Nice amount of raw onions and pickles aaaand that toasted bun. ?My mouth is watering. Lol. Fries were great and not soggy and the gyro was very meaty with great flavour. Staff and owner were all very friendly!!”

“Really disappointed. We do not order take out meals very often lately, and I suppose this is a reminder why. Ordered 2 pizzas - a small pepperoni and onion, and a large pepperoni and mushroom. Not a challenging order. Nearly $60. The order ticket was written out correctly, so no fault to the person who took the order. But what we picked up (and sadly didn't open until we were home after the 40 minute round trip), we're two very burned pizzas. I mean, BLACK around the edges and the bottom almost entirely burned. Might be able to overlook that - but although the small pepp/onion pizza was correct, the large pepp/mush, was also given the onion treatment - not a few to be picked off, but handfulls, underneath the mushrooms.... and therefore not edible for the person who ordered it. Got stuck with pizza pops instead, as there was no way we were driving all the way back to the restaurant. MUCH different pizza than last summer. I hate leaving negative reviews, but businesses are dropping the ball a lot more lately. We won't be back, but hopefully this helps you improve for your regular customers. it's important to keep local businesses open and supported, but in order to do that, a quality and correct product should be provided.”

“Did pick up on Wednesday. Ordered lemon chicken, beef and broccoli, mushroom fried rice, and Cantonese chow mein. Food was excellent and portions were good. We were at the cottage in Spruce Sands, it was well worth travelling to Wpg Beach. We will be ordering again.”
