Best place In gimli for a burger and fries or onion rings if that's your thing! The very best Greek salad! Also his pickerel dinner is absolutely delicious, I recommend it when going! When my family comes from Alberta they just can't ever seem to get enough of this place! Really nice owner too, he's always the best to chat with about anything! My family and I will definitely continue going to this place as long as it's around!

I question how there can be negative reviews on here at all.Since I was a very, very young child we been going here all the time, driving all the way from Winnipeg. I always order either the chili cheese dogs or the hamburgers, we get a salad, and it never ever disappoints. It's enigmatic that some other people on here didn't get the same thing, give this place another chance.The staff always comes to us every five minutes or so to ask if we need anything, it's very nice.You can't beat the atmosphere of a restaurant located right next to a beach. This is the closest Manitoba gets to paradise.I never tried the pickerel, so I can't offer an opinion on that.

Best place in Gimli to go to by far. Shame it’s seasonal only.We always get the pickerel burgers. For a great price (about $8 a piece) they are massive with two pieces of pan-fried lemon-pepper pickerel. We also add onion rings and Greek salad (also massive).No comparison to other places with small portions and *gasp* freezer fries….

The food is mediocre at best. Just another fast food place. The kid behind the counter could use a customer service course. Being polite doesn't hurt. Being rude and rushing a customer to order only alienates future customers.We would not eat here again.

A day before closing. Insanity. Very busy. Wheelchair accessible up backdoor ramp. Not sure if the insanely large wooden carved bar is ever used but it takes up a large space in the restaurant that could be used for seating. A few tvs are in restaurant. Also a screened in porch in front. Had pickerel and drinks. The Greek salad had no olives but it was great! Fish was awesome and fries were good too. Fish n chips or fish and salad were about $20 . The burger was under $10. Next time I want to try the lemon potatoes. My son had a vanilla milkshake and the pickerel burger. For 3 of us were $75. Place your order, find a seat and your food is brought to the table.

I went there with 5 people. We turned 2 tables side ways to join them together as there were no big tables. I was confronted by a staff member and told I was not allowed to that. I asked the un-friendly owner what the issue was, he says that I will be blocking the ketchup dispenser. Well, this was wrong! look at the picture the table on the right beside the young man leaning over is still in the position I left it in. This man was so unappreciative of all his customers, not thanking a sole for coming in and supporting his business'. I didn't see the guy even deliver a smile! At 7ish o'clock he tells a line up of customers "take out only" There were tables open! What the hell. He wanted to close and go home. I will take my money elsewhere! The food was average at best. Soggy fies, bland salad dressing mostly lettuce and over spiced with lemon pepper pickerel!

Yeah...no.Nobody in there, the owner, mama just didn't seem thrilled that we were there(party of 4)All had fish & chips, seriously would go elsewhere.Fish was dry and had been cooked previously, (day before) same with the chips. Really disappointing Not what I would expect for a beach side town.
