Very friendly service. We each had the chicken quesadilla and shared a poutine which was great. However, $80 for two people seemed a bit steep for all that we ordered. We also had a pop and my friend had one beer.

I'm in the area once a year for 2 weeks, and I'll eat here several times each year. It's good, fresh, and consistent. The service is always personable and fast, lots of small local brewery products available and the vibe is just divine. Perfect little pub, highly highly recommend.

Due to the Icelandic festival, there was a 40 minute wait but honestly, our waitress (Krista) was super friendly/has good vibes. Definitely worth the wait because the classic poutine was delicious! I haven’t had a good poutine in a while, and I live in Wpg!
The music is a mix of different alternative rock which is a fav of mine! 10/10, for sure!

We spend a weekend in Gimli for our anniversary every summer and always visit the Ship & Plough for great service, super atmosphere and awesome food and drinks. We highly recommend a visit!
I stopped in for dinner, and it was my first time there. The restaurant is small and quaint. It was obvious they had live music at times, and the walls were adorned with autographed pictures of performers who have performed there - some were very famous names.
My server greeted me quickly and allowed me to choose my seat. I ordered their fish tacos, and my drink and the food came out in a reasonable time - no complaints.
The order came with 3 tacos, and the first one had nuggets of fish, so that's how I thought it came. But the 2nd and 3rd were whole, intact filets. They were light breaded and came out hot and tasty
They're topped with a red cabbage coleslaw and a balsamic dressing. I found the dressing tasty, but it overwhelmed the delicate flavour of the pickerel. I believe there was a swipe of quacomole under the fish, but I couldn't taste it due to the balsamic. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to serve it with a lighter, more subtle sauce to let the pickerel fish shine. Would I order it again? Yes, but with the balsamic on the side. It's worth a visit.

They usually have live music on the weekend, karaoke, and music bumping. It's a smaller space, and has a few outside tables. The food was good, there is usual bar fare, but there are other special items like the Mac and cheese. I wish you could get the food to go. During festivals, or live shows, they can be packed.

Just a friendly reminder to update Google Maps times to reflect your seasonal hours. Unfortunately we went there tonight to enjoy a late night snack while we are in town for the night, but sadly we were met with a closed door. We'll try again next time 😊
Our favourite pub in Manitoba. We come for the music and stay for the food. A nice small pub atmosphere.
Best local pub. Come for the great music and stay for the excellent food.
We were on a little spring break escape in Gimli and visited Ship & Plough. It was a very positive experience and if we find ourselves back in the Gimli area, we will definitely visit again! It is a warm, cozy little restaurant/pub. My daughter and I both ordered the Fish & Chips and my wife ordered the Pickerel Tacos. The fish was very meaty and had a really good breading on it. The fries were really good as well. The Pickerel Tacos were colorful with great presentation. This little place is worth a drive up from Winnipeg.
