Half Moon Drive In Reviews
Everytime me and my spouse go out of the city, we never miss Half Moon Drive In on our way for for a burger dinner! Tje fries serving is huge and the burgers aren't salty! expect for long lines but bo crazy wait time at all.
The wait time is always long, no big deal. The food had steadily been going down hill. Today the fries were so over cooked they were rock hard and you could use them as building materials, the buns were dried out, the lettuce was old or wilted from being under a heat lamp for so long and the chocolate milk was sour. This was the last time I come pay a premium for a burger, 5 guys is worth the extra 20 minute drive. To bad id rather support local
terrible service, and even worse food, used to be the place to go, but not anymore!

Half Moon Drive In offers classic diner-style food with some standout favorites like the best poutine in years and tasty treats such as Moon Dogs. The restaurant features a lively vintage atmosphere with a 1950s decor that creates a fun and nostalgic environment. It has a nice location and plenty of parking, making it convenient for families and visitors. The menu includes a variety of ice cream flavors, with large small-sized ice cream servings that many enjoy. The food quality can sometimes be inconsistent—while the burger was praised as amazing and decently priced, some items like fries may be bland, and portions like fountain drinks are small. The staff is young and hardworking but may lack hospitality, with some reviews noting a need for better service. Despite some recent changes such as charges for fried onions and mayo, the restaurant remains a Manitoba institution, especially popular for Sunday night dinners. When busy, wait times can increase, and food quality may dip under high volume, but many still recommend it for its nostalgic design and classic drive-in fare like burgers, fries, and ice cream. The arcade on-site adds to its kid-friendly appeal.
