We had an amazing dinner together last night! My husband did the New York with the Oscar's topper and it did not disappoint. I went for the special - the beef tenderloin with prawns and lobster and loved it. We started with their calamari - the breading was perfect and not greasy at all. Both had a starter salad. Amazing food and ambience as always. This is a fine dining restaurant, and as such the prices are higher than average. The Sunday brunch (especially right before the holidays) is an exceptional experience.
Our waiter was wonderful. He was able to show me what foods I could eat as I'm gluten free. He had the bacon, potatoes & eggs Benedict made up especially for me. The main room we had was perfect to carry on a conversation. The Gates had always been my family's favorite. Food was good!
