“Great Lil' Spot to Get some Good Grub. The Beef Dip was absolutely amazing on the Foccoscia bread BUT it's too soft for the Au Jus (just falls apart in a soggy mess and hard to handle) Definitely recommend toasting the bread longer and the Pierogies less (but that's just my opinion) They're a lil' hard on the teefers and like mine just slightly fried. Garlic Parm fries were a Unique upgrade but lacking Garlic Flavor & Value. Would be amazing vs ok with a Pinch more Parm. Atmosphere was Modern,Upgraded, and CLEAN. Loved the Huge Ferns and Cafe' aesthetic. Great Service!!! Drinks always Full. Would definitely come back to try other menu items. Menu has lots to Offer.“

“Nuburger Kenaston: I was greeted by two very warm and friendly gentlemen. One of them gave me a low-down on the menu as I had never been there before. My burger (monster something rather) was huge and soooo delicious! The fries contained the perfect amount of salt and crispness…you know when the ends have just a little extra oil and it adds to the taste😋However, nothing surpassed my expectations more than the service. One of the gentlemen offered to help carry my order to the car and held doors open. 120/10!! 😉“

“Great lunch spot. Ended up going here 3 times this week while working in the area. The daily specials are a good deal for what you get. They are very generous with the fries, which are fresh cut and taste great. I found the chicken burger a little dry but the Fat Boy is one of the best burgers I've ever had and the assorted sub was very fresh and really good. Overall I'd say the food quality is really good. Service is quick and friendly.“

“We wanted to support MS Day and thought we’d try the new A&W in Headingley…and I’m glad we did! The restaurant is lovely! And so clean! The staff was wonderful…even brought our lunches to the table. The food was delicious…hot + fresh. We even got A&W root beer suckers…doesn’t get much better than that. Honestly the nicest A&W we’ve ever been to and definitely worth the drive!“

Service was good, though wasn’t asked at any point how my food was, tasted or if it was acceptable. “Have not eaten at a Meltwich since pre-pandemic when it was located in Wpg Square. Did not disappoint tonight. Husband had the Southern Fried Chicken Melt it was to die for. Saucy and with a little kick. I had the Philly Cheese steak was quite good. But I like mine saucy would have been amazing with a horseradish mayo on it.
Fries were really crispy but not alot of flavor on their own. But still quite good. Probably quite delicious in their Poutines.
Sorry for the half eaten food pics, just tells you how much we were enjoying them.

Cautionary notice they come out piping hot. I would suggest a knife and fork for the Philly Cheese Steak as it comes piled high with stuff. But when its that hot you're either waiting for it to cool down or burning your fingers off as everything falls out with each bite. Knife and fork does the trick so you can savor it all together without risking a burnt lip or tongue 😉“

“Visited for the first time and absolutely loved the mushroom mozza burger & cinnamon sugar fries. Very friendly staff, good little outdoor seating area of a few tables, and great specials.
I appreciate that they generously donate a portion of tips to local charities, and I really like that they partner with the Leftovers Foundation (a great local charity that works to divert food waste from landfills).
I do wish that they had recycling for tin drink cans available, as they don't have recycling bins. Considering that aluminum drink cans are their main beverage option, it would be great to see the ability for their drink packaging to also be diverted from landfill waste. Fun fact: from the point of going into the recycling bin, it only takes an aluminum can 60 days to be converted back into beverage packaging on the shelf!

Got the spicy chicken burger on staff recommendation and it was amazing!

“My son and I went to this location for their Kids Halloween FREE meal. My husband and I also got our dinner. It was CRAZY busy with line ups. The staff were absolutely Amazing! They handled the line up so well, on top of the Drive-thru orders. My Teen Burger was the BEST I have had in so long. Onion Rings were hot and my son loved his chicken meal. It could have been complete chaos but the front staff were smiling and on top of orders. This is the norm for this location and why we keep going back.“

“Overall good experience for fast food. Dining are is small but big windows allowing a lot of natural light is nice. No booths just chairs which is okay buy booths can be nice. Food was good just one hard kind of chewy spot in one of my sons chicken fingers but fries and my chubby chicken were all good fastfood quality.“

“You guys really need to hire more people. The lady (who was fantastic by the way) was working alone and looked like she was doing multiple tasks at once. It took almost 10 minutes for me to even place my order. This is not the first time. Whenever I come to your location around 7pm. I normally have to wait for a while. One time I had to wait for almost 20 minutes.

Also there are a lot of flies in your store. It is hard to relax when I’m eating at your location.“

“When ordering a combo meal at drive thru, you need to put in straws in the bag for the drink .It's simple drink= grab straws, not complicated but perhaps for some employees it might be. Perhaps it's lack of training by management. Pay attention to detail and the big things will take care of themselves. Wasted paying for the drink. If I do ever come back I will sit there in the drive thru line and inventory everything in the bag before I pull away at this location. Order taker was friendly enough.“

“In my experience, Chicken Chef is pretty consistent regardless of which location you visit. On this particular visit we were dining at the Portage Avenue location. The food was tasty and portion sizes were good. I ordered the 2 piece Chicken Snack with mashed potatoes and gravy, and also tried a slice of pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our server was polite, friendly, and attentive. The food arrived quickly and our server checked back frequently. The atmosphere is okay. If you are looking for a quick bite that’s affordable, then Chicken Chef is a great option!“
