“My parents and I eat here once a week. The staff, food, EVERYTHING is FABULOUS!! But make a reservation or u may have trouble getting a table. They are only open until 2 pm so it's busy at times and the place is not big. Staff are the sweetest & the food is wonderful. Reasonable prices. So glad we have this in Transcona. They do a lot for the community as well.Parking: You may have to park & walk a little. Depends on how busy the restaurant is at that time.“
“I love superboys, my mom has been going since she was in her teens so it’s a family favourite of ours and the service there is always great. The owners are very nice and the food is better than any fast food restaurant around. 10/10 burger joint, they also have really great poutines and chili fries.“
“Very friendly and welcoming. Has halal food, one of the nicest halal restaurants in Winnipeg. Has a robot bring your food, then served by a server. Open and welcoming to people of all races. Family friendly and appropriate for all ages of people. Menu can have more dishes.“
“Top notch service. Interesting decor. Absolutely delicious food (just order the bison short rib, you'll that me later!). We were very happy that we tried something different. My only suggestion would be that I would have liked more indigenous style music (and for the music to be a little lower in volume). Hearing Taylor Swift while surrounded by all this indigenous glory was a tad off putting. The cheesecake was decent but I should have just ordered another short rib!Of important note, this restaurant does have a very kind community outreach program where they provide food for hungry people who are down on their luck at their back door. This is to be COMMENDED! They take donations to assist with this heartwarming initiative. We will be back for the short ribs!“
“Gone to a lot of different bars/ restaurants downtown and by far this place has the best service I’ve ever had shout out to Danica, Matt and Meg for being fantastic people with wonderful service! Blackened chicken sandwichwill change you!“
“Got there on the last day before they closed for the winter and I couldn’t have been luckier. Fantastic service, great burgers, endless portions. It’s been a Winnipeg staple for decades for a reason. Walk in to get a taste of history and enjoy the friendly faces to boot. You have to try the VJ’s special - a fully loaded hamburger topped with chili. Will have to come back when I have more room in my tummy to crush a milkshake.“
“Being a customer of Lee for close too 18 years. Best burgers in Winnipeg Manitoba. Hes a great man with a good heart. Always a warm welcome, and lets me pick up my meal after closing time, what a legend <3 here's too seeing Juney's open for a very long time too come.“
“Daly burgers is absolutely unreal. It's in such a cool area of the city. The vibes are so electric. It's lightly snowing. You got the Jets game on. You got high quality food. There's nothing better. This restaurant is amazing. I'm so glad I went here again support these guys. Made my weekend. Also hit up snak trap they're close by!“
“Stopped in with my daughter for a meal before a Jet’s game. Erin, our server, greeted us and had us pick a seat (my daughter picked her favourite table under the picture of the cow on the wall). The food was fantastic!! Burgers, fries and onion rings ?Erin made sure our experience was great and it was!!! If you’re downtown and looking for a spot to have a cold drink and an awesome meal, I highly recommend stopping in at the Tipsy Cow!!!“
“Really cool place. Went there with friends and my kiddo and we all loved it. Food was very good. My friend is a vegan and she has a ton of options for herself not just one or two dishes. Kiddo loved looking at all of the stuff displayed in there. Had the shrimp tacos, Mac and cheese. Mango mimosa. All very good.“
“This is the top Caribbean(Jamaican) hehehe...restaurant in the province this is authentic Caribbean cuisine.. Finally we got the real deal.. I've recommended all my friends n coworkers here. They never disappoint. I give them 10 Stars..this is what food should taste like..Oh my God..“
“The poutine is actually discofries. Far too many restaurants don't even know what they're selling, and it boggles the mind. There is a very important distinction between poutine and discofries: the cheese. Shredded cheese means you have disco fries. Poutine is cheese curds. There is a huge difference. They're two different dishes that both deserve to be labeled properly. False advertising isn't cool. If I order a poutine and someone gives me fries, gravy, and shredded cheese, I'm gonna be disappointed. I ordered poutine, not discofries. You should eat here anyways because the food is still incredible. People should just know what it is they are getting.“
“i loveeee this place the food is delicious always hits the spit especially when your just craving a cheese burger with chili on it the atmosphere feels like stepping into time ( i love these kinda set ups) the service was fast and friendly recommend it ?“
“A must try Burger! Very good between the double bacon and the meech a very hard pick they both slap! Highly recommend hard to recommend just one thing everything i have had from here is aweome from brekfast lunch to dinner they got you covered and good food!“
“Service here was definitely above average. The staff is very friendly and considerate. Excellent menu but could be a bit more imaginative to compete with other gourmet burger chains. Location is great but could use an update. All things considered, great experience. The staff is the only reason I would return.“
“We got served amazing, warm and delicious food!!! It was our first time visiting this store in person and it was much better than we thought. We also found out that they now have HALAL food. As someone who relies on reviews to try new things I decided to give this place a chance. The burgers are served fresh and hot. The milkshakes are cold and yummy! This place is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is amazing and reminds me of a chic modern diner. They play amazing music that is loved by the youngsters. The workers make note of all your wishes and fulfill them. We have usually ordered through skip or doordash and have always received our food perfectly packed which gave us the best experience at home. There are so many seasonal menu items which always keeps things fun and gives the community something new to try. They have something for everyone to enjoy at different price points. I hope to see more people try out this place.“
“If you’re looking for a bit of nostalgia and a great burger and fries, served up in a neat as a pin diner, this is the place for you. This was my first visit, but won’t be my last as I work my way through the menu. Bruce, the owner says his Ruben is the best. That’ll be my next choice.“
“Absolutely wicked burger & fries here. Ordered a double George's with cheese , fries and gravy. Nice portion of fries and lots of gravy. I like that they don't cheap out!The burger was great , lots of pickles ! Yeah baby ?Tons of free parking.Gotta love that .Parking: Large lot.Kid-friendliness: Good for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance , large double doors.“
“I’ve been here a couple of times but never had the chance to give a review since I end up too busy to eat my food. It taste great especially the pork and shrimp tacos. I also love the cauliflower bites and the different flavours of chicken wings. It’s a great place to chill. With taco Tuesday nights and karaoke night. There’s a billiard table, darts and a slot machine too just in case you want to know. I don’t drink but from what I see they offer different kinds of liquor.I highly recommend the place, I guarantee you that the tacos is one of the best in town or maybe the best in town.“
“This place blew me away!! My wife and I swung by here by chance, decided to try it out, and WOW!!! The food was amazing. ?The soup was incredible, the braised beef poutine with truffle oil was perfect. My burger and fries shocked me at how good they'd be. Honestly I don't think I've ever had as good of a burger. The flavor, just so much attention to detail. You have to try this place out!!!The staff were kind, very attentive, and great!- sincerely some new regular customers“
“I ordered the Fat Boy Burger and it actually had some spice to it. Not too much. Just the right amount. The bun was a little tough at the edges. A few more vegetables would balance the flavor. With that said for the price I paid, the burger was better than I expected.More than reasonable cost, filling, and decent taste. Recommended for sure.“
“Our Local Leopold's taverne is intimate&smaller but not in a bad way, and awesomely uniquely decorated with patrons pictures on the walls among other taverne neon signs.Service is friendly and you are greeted promptly at the front door. In person the food is delicious and servers graciously answer questions about making orders vegetarian or vegan. Great place to go chill out and have a drink and unwind.Vegetarian options: Many offers on the menu for vegetarians or even vegans.Delicious nachos, poutine can be made with vegan friendly gravy and cheese so delicious ? 5 chicken fingers &fries for19$ affordable. Same for the smash burger and fries so delicious.“
“First off, I knew this place would be mind blowing, I love the "sister" restaurants. Tabula has a wonderful staff whom we have become friends with. We come here for most special events because they go above and beyond to make them extra special. Then there is the food, wow spectacular, tasty little masterpieces. I suggest you book a date night here.“
“Leopolds offers a laid back atmosphere, casual dining experience, and friendly service. I prefer Leos over most restaurants in Osborne Village. They are always open late until 2a. The vodka seltzers are made in house. There are vegan comfort food options available.“
“Love it! Best burgers and a Winnipeg classic.Parking: About 6 spots on the North Star Drive-In lot as well as ample residential parking on the sides and front streets.Kid-friendliness: Kids love the festive painting here, order up window, and eating at a picnic table in the summer while looking at the army tankers.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“
“Very impressed with the work ethic of the staff at this location. In the short time I was there I saw the guy running the till mosey between wiping tables and helping with food assembly. The story was very clean and the food is always amazing.Continue to do an amazing job guys“
“Friendly staff, positive work environment. Fantastic food. Restaurants rarely meet the amount of dietary needs like the Oakwood does which makes this a friendly place to eat for people with severe allergies. Really great prices. Good spot for families too. Takes reservations but you don't have to have a reservation to eat here. Bathrooms are always spotless too. They also offer a fridge full of baked in house desserts and take home meals as well if you're just looking for a "home cooked" feel. Highly recommend the Oakwood. It's a must try in Winnipeg.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is kid friendly, the servers are so friendly with little ones, they have boosters available too!“
“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Great people, great food, great environment. This may have been the best salad I have ever tasted and their portion sizes are great! The staff are incredibly kind and exceeded my expectations! They went out of their way to be incredibly talkative and kind. Definitely recommend and God bless.“
“Beef is locally raised and halal ❤️ I have tried a few burgers, but I am partial to the Stamos burger with hot damn mushrooms. Their kale cessar salad and fries are great too. They used to have a Garden of Eden salad that was good as well as Arnold Palmers.Dietary restrictions: Halal beef!!“
“They're so kind and accommodating. I don't know how they do it, but even when I pre-order a BLT sammich it never gets soggy. It's still delicious by the time I get to eat it. Legit talent cooking here. They respect and appreciate the diversity of the North End neighbourhood. Never leave! You are loved and appreciated ❤️“
“Been going here for 20+ years. One of my favorite places to order take out from. They have the best chili cheese fries in town. Only downside is recently closer to closing time they stop answering the phone. Rather disappointing but the food makes up for it.“
“We had an excellent experience at Wayback Burgers! The staff was incredibly patient and helpful, especially with our kids, as we navigated the extensive menu. The food was superb, all promptly made to order. Our kids adored the tots and grilled cheese, while the burgers and milkshakes were simply amazing! While it can get a bit pricey with special sides and milkshakes, the outstanding service and quality of food make it entirely worthwhile.“
“Great and welcoming atmosphere, staff are awesome and nice. Few selections of burgers and other food but to the point that it's not overwhelming to look at or read.Parking is free and plentiful close to the building. It is located along a strip mall.“
“Just ordered a bed time ice cream cake! Wow it was amazing, I am drooling. Omg! Oreo ice cream cake! Woah! Yum! Dairy Queen is the queen of ice cream and all cakes! Cake Boss ain’t got nothing on Dairy Queen fo real yo!!!! Cake was busssin! Finna order for the whole gang!!“
“Aside it from being a chain. It's reliable and good. The service is great even when it's busy.I've been here 3 nights in a row to end my nights during my vacation. From being seated promptly, to great attention to sit down and order taking - we weren't left with empty cups or empty bellies. Weren't pressured on upsells but there was always a recommendation on our requests. It's close to the popular hotels and the Canadian Life Centre which makes it a great place to start or end the night. The food is great, the drinks are great and the service is incredible. Highly recommend any of these restaurants across Canada.“
“Salisbury House has been a part of my life since I was a child. Since moving to South Winnipeg, the Stafford Steet Sals has been my go-to location. Great food and specials, as well as a seniors menu. The decor includes some famous Winnipeg musician items that adds a uniqueness to the space. The pancakes have always been my favorite item, as well as the egg nips and coleslaw.“
“Super clean & Friendly location. Food was super tasty. Looked as good as the pictures. They are EXTREMELY GLUTEN-FREE FRIENDLY.Celiacs can even have poutine as even the gravy here is Gluten free. Separate fryer for French fries.Dietary restrictions: I am Celiac & it is Very accommodating. The GF buns are the best I've ever had.“
“Amazing place, but they sell disco fries and label it as poutine. There is nothing wrong with fries, gravy, and shredded cheese until you mislabel it and lie to your customers. Poutine requires cheese curds. Without them, it isn't a poutine. They're disco fries, and selling it as a poutine is just strange. Still, this isn't a spot you want to miss out on. It's a staple in Winnipeg for a very good reason: Epic burgers. My favorite combo is the double fat boy and some chili cheese fries. While I struggle to forgive the poutine issue, it's nowhere near enough an issue to stop me from recommending this establishment to everyone. I just don't recommend the "poutine" if you are in the mood for poutine.“
“Had a great gluten-free chicken burger with a garden salad. Was not your usual dressing on the salad, something different, that made it so much better than just a side salad. Service was also top notch, understood my allergies, and took care of my needs. Will go again.“
“The pistachio hand dipped milk shake was amazing. Best milk shake I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and charming. The build your own single patty burger and Cajun taters were better than what you would expect from a fast food establishment with more options for topings. Was a pretty good dining experience overall.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free bunLettuce wrap“
“Been here a few times and every time it is an amazing time. The staff are always friendly. The last time we went was for a buddies bachelor party and the bar tender was happy enough to take a picture for us.If you're ever in the area I recommend stopping here for a drink or 2.“
“Nuburger is my go-to burger place when I want to indulge. If you are looking for something beyond the typical fast-food burger experience, it is delicious and they have a variety of options both traditional and unique. Love their sweet potato fries. The sweet curry salt was amazing if you like curry. The forks can be difficult to find a spot to eat during peak hours in the evening and can be quite loud. Otherwise, the service was fast and well delivered.“
“Out for lunch with a friend of mine. Fat boy combos for $15.99. Comes with the burger, fries(so many I have a side for another meal later) and a can of pop. Cashier said 10 min, was ready in less, and no compromise on the quality.Had the burger with no chili, onions fried and extra pickles. Fries crispy and added a side of gravy. Gravy was worth the $3, tasted good and an adequate amount to share. Toppings on the burger were fresh, and the taste was great. Fries were crisp and HOT :) gravy was tasty too. The spot was steady with patrons. Nice neighborly joint. Definitely a do again.“
“So refreshing to eat in an independent restaurant! Our party of three went for lunch and none of us were disappointed with our menu choices. Large portions of delicious fresh food. Mikayla was a friendly and attentive waitress and we were never rushed to move on out. Overall a great experience and won’t be our last.“
“I had heard about the Red Top Drive Inn but had never been there. That changed a week ago when two friends and I went for Burgers and beer.I hadn't realized that they were licensed ,with limited offerings mind you, but an unexpected perk none the less.I ordered a beer and cheese burger with a half Caesar/half fries side dish.It was a nice touch to be able to order half sides. When my meal came the 'sides' were huge and could have qualified as full sides unto themselves.I am not a big fan of chili on my burgers but I thought I'd give it a try at Red Top (encouraged by my friends) and I am pleased to say it was delectable! The Caesar was tasty and the fries(ordered with no salt) were of the hand cut variety and very good as well. The best part of the whole experience was the bill.$23 for the whole thing! Beer included.I will definitely be visiting this establishment more often.Highly recommend.“
“I've been here a few times (4 times, I think) over the past few years and it has always been the same experience.....food is great but service is very slow. Not sure if it has to do with the large crowds before an event at the Concert Hall or Theatre Centre which strain the service staff, but something should be done to address this. Staff is nice... just under-numbered it seems. Went there for a private event recently as well. Food was fantastic and service was much better.Keep doing what you do but with more bodies thrown in the mix.“
“This Five Guys is on Pembina down near the university. It's a smaller branch compared to the other Five Guys in the city, but I noticed a lot more takeout orders here.Quality is about the same as the other Five Guys (aka good quality for the price you pay). Not much difference so if you're craving a Five Guys in the south end of the city, this place does the job fine.“
“Stopped by yesterday for a late lunch and tried the bacon burger and golden boy burger. Both were perfect and delicious! The patties were thick, unlike fast food burgers, and really meaty. Loved that they weren't soggy! The onion rings were amazing too - crispy and flavorful batter. Forgot to snap photos because we were so hungry, but overall, a great and delicious spot!“
“Was pleased and even a bit impressed! The 'special' was good value for money and really tasty!Notes: -burgers had THICK patties (not my preference, but it seems the preference of most)-burgers had chili on them (we didn't ask for it, must be on every one, not my preference either but was good!)-burgers didn't have lettuce or tomatoes or mayonnaise-the pickles on burger were REALLY good-the buns were really goodThe atmosphere is very nice!I'd definitely go back! 5/5!“
“A great little local greasy spoon type of restaurant. Very well priced and the food was really good. If you like onion rings this place is a great pick. As an aside, no tip is asked at POS, which is nice, but I ASSUME you can tip in cash in yoh want. They bring the food to your table and the service in fiendlt.“
