“Buvette is an absolute gem. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, the intimate seating and homey feeling kitchen makes you feel welcomed the moment you enter.

Their menus change regularly, but after eating here, I'm confident in saying the food will always be good. We had the mushroom toast and the Latvian egg salad, both of which impressed on the first bite. I also had an iced Americano that was perfect to taste and served in a fun, vintage glass.

It's clear that the creative direction in the kitchen and the passion behind the coffee have aligned to make something really special. If you haven't been, you've got to go. If you have, the menus rotate, so get back there!“

“Stopped by for coffee on a quiet Sunday morning and the place had that perfect low hum you want before 10am, not dead but not a scramble for tables either. Ordered the almond croissant and a flat white, and the croissant was still warm, properly laminated, not the sad gummy kind you get at chain spots. The barista remembered my order from a visit months back, which is a small thing but it stands out when you spend as much time in cafes around the country as I do. Good natural light by the front windows, reliable wifi, and plenty of outlets made it an easy spot to linger with a laptop for an hour before heading out.“

“First time here and I have to say ,spectacular food. The eggs Benedict is nothing I have ever tasted. Very unique and falvourful. The sourdough bread toasted to perfection and the sauce was not a typical HD sauce. Im from Alberta.“

“The place good and heart of downtown. Always saw this place never had a chance to come. In Weekend i came still some people were there. Good place to sit and chat. Prices seemed decent for a cafe where we generally get hight prices. The vienamese cold brew was not to my linikng but the egg salad sandwich was great. But service was extremely slow . Parking could be an issue“

First impressions of early am visit was spacious, clean and thoughtful gifts items. Workers were cheerful, knowledgeable and quick. Several spaces to sit and work. Background music was pleasant - not too loud. “A place to belong” is their motto. Tips are used to support /encourage young people in a safe environment. I’m just a tourist - but I’d come here every day if I could.“
