“Stopped by for coffee on a quiet Sunday morning and the place had that perfect low hum you want before 10am, not dead but not a scramble for tables either. Ordered the almond croissant and a flat white, and the croissant was still warm, properly laminated, not the sad gummy kind you get at chain spots. The barista remembered my order from a visit months back, which is a small thing but it stands out when you spend as much time in cafes around the country as I do. Good natural light by the front windows, reliable wifi, and plenty of outlets made it an easy spot to linger with a laptop for an hour before heading out.“

“I just had the ham and mushroom pizza. Best I ever had. It was very reasonably priced with very good ingredients. Bread was so fresh and was so tasty. Same type of pizza you would pay double at a 5 star restaurant. Their baked goods are also amazing and fresh. The service is very good and very helpful.“

The 2 servers were friendly and efficient and the kitchen came out with our food quick enough. Our food was tasty and we had also their burger week special which is a burger dessert and it was a winner.“

I ended up settling on a cinnamon roll with a coffee. It was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Everything looks so fresh and well-made. I will definitely be back to try one of the gift boxes of shortbread cookies.“

“We had our wedding at Cibo this past weekend and it was the best decision! Kate (the general manager) was so incredible to work with throughout the whole process. She handled so many of the small details (like renting outside chairs, curating a menu, printing menus, setting up our decor), it took a lot off our plate and we are so grateful. We also received a one-night stay at the neighbouring Mere Hotel as part of our wedding booking, which Kate organized on our behalf. She was essentially our day-of-coordinator and she did a fantastic job. Kate was always so fast to respond to our emails and all of our silly questions. I can't believe how much they handled for us. We also got so many compliments on the food, the service, and the cocktails! People loved the bruschetta's, arancini, piri piri chicken, pizza, and our custom ginger beer cocktail. The staff were so accommodating to all of our guests needs and it really showed. It was the perfect day and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Cibo for being such an big part of our special day!“

“Our second favorite place to go to in Winnipeg after the Zoo. My family and I enjoy walking through the English Garden and around the park, especially around the duck pond. But we often end our walk at the park cafe. They serve really good breakfast and pub fares at an affordable price. Plus, if you have a zoo membership, you get 10% off your bill. The park cafe also has a walkin counter that offers softserve ice cream and a really good,I mean really good, mint lemonade. You should definitely take your loved ones to this exceptional place and enjoy life, simply.“

I recently went gluten, dairy and soy free, I ordered a mixed berry pie, chicken pot pie, sourdough cinnamon buns, oatmeal raisin cookies, sourdough bread and sourdough hamburger buns.. the cookies.. to die for, the sourdough bread.. it’s killing me how delish it is.. and everything else looks so yummy I’m trying hard to space it out so I don’t put myself in a food coma.
