There is no AC at the facility; open kitchen concept and somewhat unorganized but that is what gives it a rustic old school touch. The sad part is that they stopped using the best wheat (Manitoban) in the world due to specific circumstances.

Their scones are great as are their breads and the viennoiseries are never too sweet.

“Loveee this place! I have always gotten their pretzels, sandwiches and of course their amazing crusty buns, but I have recently discovered their seasonal sweet bread!!! Not sure if thats what its called but it gets baked fridays and Saturdays only and the current one is apple cran strudel and its unrealllll! I bought 3 in 1 week, some for me of course and for family, which also are now obsessed! They make a perfect gift and are delicious but very dangerous, since I can polish off a loaf in a day! “I heard about it and went to buy a four pack of the cinnamon buns and they were absolutely delicious. Let me just say that only three made it home.. lol
There is just enough icing so that you don’t run out and the dough is perfect. It’s not hard at all and it melts in your mouth. I have gone twice just for the cinnamon buns now, and I live out of town in Teulon so coming in for that is definitely something to be noted.“

“I went into Double D's when I needed to find something for dessert for a family dinner. I was met by a wonderfully cheery woman that informed me that she was one of the D's in Double D's. I had never been there before and I let her know that, and she was not only extremely helpful but awesomely charismatic and you could tell she had a passion for what she was doing. She told me to try the Pistachio, Blueberry, and Skor and they were all a hit. I wish I could remember her name, but I do know I will be going back next time I am in Winnipeg! Definitely recommend!“
