“Little Korea is a warm, family-run Korean restaurant just steps away from the University of Winnipeg's downtown campus. Every table is equipped with a tablet for ordering, which makes the experience smooth and convenient.

Cheese Tonkatsu: The star of our meal. The pork cutlet was golden and crispy on the outside, and loaded with gooey, melted cheese inside. It was indulgent and absolutely delicious.

Kimchi Jjigae: Served piping hot right to the table. The broth was traditional, deeply flavoured, and hit all the right notes of spice and tang. A comforting bowl of Korean home cooking.

The only minor note is that the rice portion could be a touch more generous. That aside, this is a fantastic little spot for authentic Korean food in downtown Winnipeg.“

“We were here for coffee and beer just killling time. The pastries are good, we got:

Chocolate chip cookies
Almond croissant
Brownie
Chocolate croissant

All very and tasty. But our favourite was the almond Croissant

I also had the LBJ 1919 and the Good Neighbor Lager can’t go wrong with these beers. Wish they carried Good Neighbor’s brown ale.

Oh and the patio was nice.“

“Excellent pure sourdough bread options with a coop model.

There is no AC at the facility; open kitchen concept and somewhat unorganized but that is what gives it a rustic old school touch. The sad part is that they stopped using the best wheat (Manitoban) in the world due to specific circumstances.

Their scones are great as are their breads and the viennoiseries are never too sweet.

“I've always thought Crusty Bum had amazing lunch buns. My favorite is the pumpkin seed bun. Beware! The first bite will burst with crunch, so fair warning if you bite into one while on the run. I recently had their German breakfast, and it too was delicious! It's a nice gathering spot, always clean. Lots of elderly folk sitting and enjoying conversations so it can be packed at the height of lunch rushes.“

“I went to pick up a birthday cinnamon bun yesterday evening at around 1700, the young lady at the counter was very polite, friendly and cheery. It was a pleasant interaction after a long day at work. She helped me with the COBS app and asked if I would like some icing on it. I brought it home for my daughter (and husband to try) and we all licked the icing clean. It was delicious! I will definitely go back again, we need more friendly workers like COBS! Thanks again!“

Stopped at Crusty Bun for a quick bite to eat. Freshly made ham sandwich, with mayo, pickles and tomato and lettuce, so deliciously made while you make the order. Also their desserts are to die for 😂 you have to try the Bee-sting“

Decided to go in and see what there was and when we got to the door realized they closed half an hour ago but someone (maybe manager or owner) let us in and served us. I had never been there before and I let her know that, and she was not only extremely helpful but awesomely charismatic and you could tell she had a passion for what she was doing. This is a local Filipino bakery that offers an excellent variety of Filipino sweet treats, including turon, bicho bicho, sugar bread and many other items. They also offer hot, ready to go food perfect for lunch or dinner. Street parking is available in addition to parking in the rear. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Prices are very fair.
