I am so glad I finally stopped by this place. The pastries are absolutely stunning and taste even better than they look.
I tried a few different items, and everything was incredibly fresh. The attention to detail is impressive, especially with the fresh mint leaves and whole hazelnuts perfectly placed on top of the cream-filled ring. It is rare to find such high-quality, beautiful treats on Sargent Avenue. I will definitely be back for more soon.

Gâto Bakeshop is a delicious bakeshop with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. There are breads, croissants, and cronuts of the week with changing flavours, plus fun seasonal options. Favorites include the Paris Brest, almond croissant, vegan breakfast croissant, corn danish, potato croissant, and the cronut. The coffee is good quality, and the ube latte is cute. Pastries are excellent, and the bread is great. They have a lot of sourdough bread options. The vegan options are to die for, and the vegan selection of cakes and croissants is loved, including a chocolate mousse cake and a matcha eclair. The staff are always fantastic, friendly, and efficient. It is best to go in the morning on weekends or order online or over the phone, as they often sell out. The bakery is active on social media, and it is a nice place to get a nice treat with some coffee.
