Despite her many tasks in her managerial position, she still takes the time to weave through all the tables and genuinely interact with the familiar faces of return guests to really give the welcoming family feel at this locations. She is always smiling, despite the array of different situations showing from afar to each guest that everything is running smoothly from in front of house to the kitchen staff. She's an asset to the Fuller Family Group the and sky limit for this one.“

“Little Korea is a warm, family-run Korean restaurant just steps away from the University of Winnipeg's downtown campus. Every table is equipped with a tablet for ordering, which makes the experience smooth and convenient.

Cheese Tonkatsu: The star of our meal. The pork cutlet was golden and crispy on the outside, and loaded with gooey, melted cheese inside. It was indulgent and absolutely delicious.

Kimchi Jjigae: Served piping hot right to the table. The broth was traditional, deeply flavoured, and hit all the right notes of spice and tang. A comforting bowl of Korean home cooking.

The only minor note is that the rice portion could be a touch more generous. That aside, this is a fantastic little spot for authentic Korean food in downtown Winnipeg.“

“Went to Harth last night. Food is great. Experience not so much. Sat in the lounge and the tables are so close together it's a bit awkward. The waiter was attending to the table next to us and literally had his butt in my face which is not lovely. Pretty loud in the restaurant too, definitely not a chill vibe. Server was ok but poor lady had tables all over lounge and restaurant it made no sense. She was so swamped someone else had to bring us water and take our drink orders. Meanwhile table on either side of us both had totally different servers. Might make more sense to give servers sections to make their life easier and allow them to be attentive to their tables all at once.“

There is no AC at the facility; open kitchen concept and somewhat unorganized but that is what gives it a rustic old school touch. The sad part is that they stopped using the best wheat (Manitoban) in the world due to specific circumstances.

Their scones are great as are their breads and the viennoiseries are never too sweet.

“We came here for the first time today and had Stephanie as our server. It’s my birthday and my partner suggested silver heights as somewhere new to try ribs. Stephanie was great at greeting us and letting us know everything from the specials to helping me choose a specific drink. It was effortless with her, and normally we’d have to ask questions but they were all answered before we even had a chance. It was a great experience, and even got a free birthday dessert. The ribs were incredible and she accommodated everything we asked. Thank you Stephanie for your accommodations and making our first experience a great one!!

“I've always thought Crusty Bum had amazing lunch buns. My favorite is the pumpkin seed bun. Beware! The first bite will burst with crunch, so fair warning if you bite into one while on the run. I recently had their German breakfast, and it too was delicious! It's a nice gathering spot, always clean. Lots of elderly folk sitting and enjoying conversations so it can be packed at the height of lunch rushes.“

I found one of these people at the most unexpected place. My wife and I really enjoy authentic Ethiopian food. We enjoy good food, love meeting new people, love a great experience, and this place…. Has it ALL!!!! Merkato Restaurant!!!!! WOW!!! What a place. We’ve been going there as often as we can for about a year now. From the very first time Sam (the owner) treated us like he’s known us for years and made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience was second to none. He succeeded. We’ve gotten to know this man quite well through our visits to his restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic but his friendship is the highlight. The great food is just a bonus. I strongly recommend anyone to take the time and check this place out. Get to know Sam. He has a heart of gold and it’s an absolute blessing every single time. Keep it up Sam!!!
