“Went to the one on St Mary’s if you turn down the road before the restaurant there is parking at the back. Very pleasant relaxing atmosphere, I lived in India on and off and had many friends and family the food we had at Jaz brought back many happy memories well prepared no excess salt or eye watering chilli un less you want it masala chi was as in India I had goat and spinach the meat was very well done soft and easy to eat spiceing was as I remember. Week end is buffet for $18.00 per person. I highly recommend this restaurant 1127 St. Mary’s road. Very clean washroom was also well matained.
Vegetarian options: Menus has lots of vegetarian options
Parking: Off of St Mary’s the street between the back of Maxine and Jaz there is a small parking lot behind Jaz but on that street there is plenty of free parking
Wheelchair accessibility: In the front there is a ramp but would be hard to negotiate unless coming in with able bodied person to push but at the back attached to the parking lot there is a employee entrance with a accessible entrance I think if you call ahead they could let a wheelchair in from there.“

“We typically go to the Clay Oven on Kenaston as a treat occasionally. We've been going there since their first location opened on Inkster and we always enjoyed it until the last time we were there. We usually order their Thali platters. This time we ordered a Lamb and Chicken Thai platter with the cumin potatoes as one of the sides. It was terrible. The potatoes were half cooked and hard with no flavor. The rice was flavorless as well. Seeing that we always enjoyed it until now we're definitely not going back again. Seeing it's kinda of expensive it's a treat for us we were sadly disappointed.“

“Really good food and great value for your money. The owners are lovely. Loved their butter chicken and they are generous with the naan bread. We will definitely return (and try the masala chai tea next time!).“
“Delicious! We tried the Butter Chicken and the Chickpea Potato Curry. The butter chicken sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful while the chicken was deliciously tender. The chickpea potato curry was perfectly spiced with a very deep flavour profile. The menu has lots of different international inspirations and this is some of the best Indian food we've had in Winnipeg. Chef Kumar and his team are very talented. We look forward to stopping by whenever we can and trying all the other dishes!“

Spice is a dried seed, fruit, root, bark, or vegetative substance primarily used for flavoring, coloring of food. Spices may have extra use usually medicinal, religious ritual, cosmetics or perfume production, or as a vegetable. For example, turmeric roots are consumed as a vegetable and garlic as an antibiotic. Spices were among the most demanded and expensive products available in Europe in the Middle Ages, the most common being black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
Copper Chimney uses traditional Indian kitchen equipment to blend together many Indian spices to provide our guests with different flavors and colors of food from all regions in India.

“This place is great! I was skeptical at first but the food has improved dramatically since they first opened. The restaurant is clean and the folks who work there are super nice. I live close by and stop in quite often for one of their entree dishes. The price is unbelievable for the amount of food you get. A big pile of rice and two veg currys, add a samosa and you are still walking out of there for under ten dollars!I eat a lot of Indian food and while this place is not the fanciest, it is good food and great value.“

“I’ve been to EIC about 5-6 times per year for the last 10 years. It’s been for various occasions: celebration, business meeting, date nights with my partner, and a casual bite with friends and family. The food quality, selection, and service is consistently 5/5. You can tell that the owner is well in-tune with the operations and he’s usually there. All in all, great place.“

“Really good staff. Loved the paani puri, and the paani was light as it should be.
The pricing could have been a bit friendlier, but a really good place for afternoon snacks.
You guys should really bring more non-veg indian street food on the menu.
Loved the place!“

“High quality food! Used to enjoy when they were in Selkirk and now I go out of my way for their food in Transcona. Very worth the trip. Best samosas I've ever had, yummy butter chicken or butter paneer. If you order samosa platter, ask for masala and toppings in separate container. Still savoring the food I picked up yesterday evg.“
