“This review is in regards to Alyssa Willson. Alyssa has been a consistent leader for Joey's Polo Park location bar for as long as I can remember. Despite her many tasks in her managerial position, she still takes the time to weave through all the tables and genuinely interact with the familiar faces of return guests to really give the welcoming family feel at this locations. She is always smiling, despite the array of different situations showing from afar to each guest that everything is running smoothly from in front of house to the kitchen staff. She's an asset to the Fuller Family Group the and sky limit for this one.“

“Went for happy hour with co-workers. I got the fish tacos with yam fries and it was really good! The yam fries were a little on the salty side but I did not mind as I thought that overall, the fries complimented the tacos!

I've been here before as well with co-workers for lunch and got the BBQ rice bowl, that was a very filling rice bowl! Would love to be back to try their other items such as the shrimp dumplings and open-faced steak sandwich which got some good reviews!“

“My daughter and I went in for a meal and had such a fabulous experience. Our server ( Morning Star) was fantastic. My daughter’s steak had quite a bit of fat on it, and the server immediately noticed and spoke to the manager. Without any hesitation, they brought her a new steak and even gave her a “to go” box for the other one.
They were absolutely fantastic! It makes the experience so much more enjoyable when you can tell that the staff genuinely care and just want to make sure you are happy with both your food and the service.

“My husband and I have been looking for the perfect eggs Benedict for years. We have tried several locations that are great, BUT this was blow your mind great! Eggs Benedict with farmers hash, WOW! The locally sourced Bison and Artic Char dishes were a beautiful blend color and fresh flavors that literally made you stop to slow down and savory each mouthful. “Our party was a family with 2 children. The kids had several good kid friendly options to choose from and were happy with the menu. The portion sizes on all our meals were large. Our appetizer was spinach dip with pitas and chips - very delicious, I would say the food was good overall but not exceptional. The prices were reasonable and it was a good choice for a family restaurant. The many screens were somewhat of a distractions for the kids but that is common in lots of restaurants.“

“After making a reservation 5 days in advance, unfortunately, they did not hold it. We were only offered the bar top as a seating option. The food was underwhelming and flavourless. We had the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl and Baja fish tacos. The only saving grace for the evening was the manager on duty, who comped our entire order. This was extremely professional given the circumstances. We would probably not visit this location again.“

Our server didn't seem to be very happy and his interactions were very blunt and to the point, almost like he was reciting the same script at each table. I also really didn't like how the highest tip option was automatically selected on the list of tips when I received the debit machine to tip and pay. Not sure if that's an automatic setting or the server did it, but that alone made me give a lower tip.“
