“Yes, agree with most other reviewers, absolutely fabulous Eggs Benedict & prepared & served quite uniquely! Served on Bannock, (a nice & tasty change) but their version of hollandaise sauce is all their own and is truly divine. Likewise, for their smash potatoes, they came with an Aioli sauce drizzled over them, and the taste was different, but so so good! Will absolutely keep coming back and have also been telling everyone about this place. The space is quite small though, so is a little cramped. We were seated in front of the counter, which is near the door, and every time someone entered, which was a lot as they're so busy, it was quite chilly so that made for some of the experience not being ideal. All of the staff seemed very professional, kind, and aim to please.“
“There's a reason this place is always busy. Excellent food and attentive service are the hallmarks, and they did not disappoint on our most recent visit. The fett chile pasta is the signature dish, and it definitely is delicious. For us, we ordered one and shared it amongst our group of four, because we wanted to try other things. The broccoli starter was very good - an Asian ginger sauce, but complemented interestingly with pecans. Not a usual combo, but it worked well.Spring rolls aren't something I'd normally order (they're often quite plain), but these ones are different and tasty. Worth a try for sure.Bruschetta again can sometimes be fairly ordinary, but this one was really good because it contained more than the normal ingredients. The mixed green salad was fine - not anything spectacular, although the dressing was quite good - but hey, it's a mixed green salad.Prices are on the higher side for the starters, but the entrees are reasonable for what you get (the fett chile for example is a good portion for the price).Service was attentive and friendly, and she had good suggestions. The atmosphere is fine, but due to the small space it can get noisy - if you're looking for a quiet intimate place for a conversation, this isn't it.All in all, a wonderful restaurant that deserves its reputation - and the reason it is nearly always full of patrons.“
“I liked it.Close to Canada life, good happy hour special to get in for drinks couple hours before game. Bustling but not too busy, food out on time.Coming for visit from out of town, would recommend come in couple hours before Jets game for happy hour. And go upstairs for Basketball arcade with friends, which has seen better days! Also, kid friendly which is pleasant surprise (at least during day)Kid-friendliness: Yes! During daytime/before games“
“I liked the menu selection at lunch. ordered the perogy grilled cheese. portion was good but quite bland in taste. also had the mushroom soup as a side... also very bland. service was great! have heard other comments about bland flavor which is too bad because great comfort food menu!“
“Amazing experience at Feast. Service was quick and helpful with touring the new menu. Cozy atmosphere with lots of lovely indigenous art on the walls. Food was outstanding, the chicken tipi skewers were perfectly cooked and the fry bread was out of this world. The Ramen was also delicious as was the bison chili. If you are visiting winnipeg this is a great place to check out. We will definitely visit again next time we are in town.“
“We ordered 2 pound fish pakora around 3:07 pm. I was told by cashier it will take 15 to 20 minutes. I reached at restaurant around 3:25 and I was told it will take 10 more minutes. I waited in my car and went in again after 10 minutes and it was not still ready. I got my order at 3:50 ish. Food is good but service is really bad.“
“A great experience, good staff. Had such a pleasant time at Montana’s today. The food was quite yummy and service was quick. Would definitely recommend this establishment. They even let us draw on the table with crayons. What a great day ?“
“We dined at the restaurant and overall, the food and service were good. The one feedback I’d like to share with the restaurant management is about the lack of cooling inside the restaurant especially that it was very hot that day as it was very hot inside the restaurant. On such hot days, it’s important to provide a good customer experience by keeping the dining room cool early on and not wait for it to become and before customers arrive and ask for it. We had to pack the food snd leave hungry!!“
“The food and the service was really good. Bella was too good and helpful. I was recommended this place by a friend who has visited this place before. Yam fries are too good. The Chicken Parmesan was too good.Parking: Free mall parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible“
“SAAUR good. our server Gurk was so friendly and welcoming. our food came exceptionally fast. and had great value.Parking: it’s a pretty busy place so i parking is a journey but not too much of a hassle. unless you’re trying to park right at the front lol.“
“Such a great experience to enjoy as a couple or as a group since it’s all shareable, every course is full of surprise and flavours. The service is nice and professional and the ambiance is the greatest oneVegetarian options: There is a whole menu for the vegan options which are a nice touch“
“My wife and I just celebrated Valentine's Day at Fusion grill (once again!). We love coming to Fusion for any occasion. The food is always top notch, Scott and his staff are incredibly nice, experienced, and attentive, and the drinks pair so well with the meals. Very easy to make reservations and there is always great music. We've always felt very valued coming here, and it seems that that is likely a shared feeling from other customers we've talked to as well. Whatever your reason, I would highly recommend Fusion for your next outing! Our favs are the truffle perogies, pickerel, and the apple crumble.“
“Stopped in for a late night bite after a concert down the road. The service was awesome, very friendly young woman the bartender on was also very nice.I tried the chicken sandwich with a salad and a cocktail. All of which I was quite surprised by the quality.I find these days the difference between fast food and sit down restaurants are very small. But I would definitely say this place goes above the industry standard for quality.I eat a lot on the road for work and I've spent most of my life running restaurants so I try to keep a running list of places to go again.. most often i wouldn't go out of my way to return, but i definitely will be back next time I'm in town. Its not often I actually think about maybe going back to the same place in the same trip.I should have gone back again tonight but such is life.Next time“
“I have been coming to this family run restaurant since it first opened. I have never had a bad dish. The service is great and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. I have brought many friends and family here who now have become regulars. VP1 (pad Thai) the bbq salad rolls and crab cream cheese wontons are my 3 favourite dishes. You’ll be happy you stopped by! Don’t forget they now have a location on Regent and Plessis.“
“Stopped in for a quick Happy Hour drink with my brother before dinner and we enjoyed the atmosphere at Smittys. It was bright and cheerful. I had a Caesar with pickle juice for the first time ever. It was tangy and good but not sure I'd do that again.“
“We needed a breakfast spot before taing my cousin to the airport to fly home to the UK. This is a terrific little gem that offers a very wide array of breakkast choices at a reasonable price. While it's pretty tough now to find a $7 breakfast, this place does offer much better value for money than most. The food is hot and well prepared and the prompt and friendly service is top drawer. The array of choices for breakfast is second to none. We need a lot more of these small family run restaurants and fewer of the high priced chains.“
“Came to Earls Main for a relaxing dinner, and the manager Ella was so kind and accommodating when it was packed before the Jets game. She’s extremely sweet, welcoming, attentive, and well mannered. I’m extremely impressed by her and will definitely be visiting aging because of her.“
“What a reunion it was at Moxies Kenaston after a solid two decades! The nostalgia hit us as soon as we stepped into the lounge, buzzing with chatter, laughter, and those good old vibes. It felt like coming home. And the best part? The place hasn't missed a beat. We were thrilled to find it just as vibrant as we remembered, with delicious food and drinks flowing. Even our vegan pals were over the moon with the variety available to them! Needless to say, we all left with grins ear to ear and bellies happily satisfied. Moxies Kenaston, you've still got it!“
“Smith's restaurant provides a satisfying dining experience. The food is decent, with a variety of options to choose from. The service is adequate, though not particularly remarkable. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, making it suitable for a laid-back meal with friends or family.Overall, while it may not stand out as exceptional, Smith's offers a decent option for those looking for a straightforward dining experience without any frills.“
“This was the 2nd time we were at Jane's. The first time was for lunch, and overall I would have given our meal & service a 5/5. This time... One has to remember that Jane's meals & service are provided by students in culinary art or hospitality. So, mistakes will happen. That being said, expectations remain high. They are not beginners. We were there with another couple. Food: the Paella: dry, no wow effect, shrimps are tiny, not Black Tiger Prawns as advertised, and, beware, chicken bones were included with the dish. Don't choke yourself! Duck Brest: meat was tough. No wow effect either. Striploin: average. We ordered a bottle of wine. The server's hands were shaking. The cork was broken in the process of taking it off the bottle. The very good stuff: the Mushroom Tart, the Lemon Blueberry Mille Feuille, and the Pecan Pie (which, in fact, was a butter tart). As I said, expectations were high. So on that standpoint, this supper was underwhelming.“
“i had driven by Garwood Grill many times while going done Pembina and had thought I should drop in and verify all the great things I heard about Garwood Grill. A friend of mine has been going there for about 50 years. The food and service were incredible. This is a family restaurant, and the comfortable welcoming atmosphere is evident. I will be taking some other friends there on March 11th to enjoy an amazing experience. A definite must visit for a great meal and more!“
“I've recently started going back to Sun Valley for early morning breakfasts and Friday lunches - I'm still trying to get there for Tuesday lunch when they serve their perogy soup!As in the past, the food is fantastic with wonderful and friendly service.Well worth stopping in for a delicious and satisfying meal.“
“Had a great gluten-free chicken burger with a garden salad. Was not your usual dressing on the salad, something different, that made it so much better than just a side salad. Service was also top notch, understood my allergies, and took care of my needs. Will go again.“
“Made a reservation for a 15-person group yesterday and Brown’s was willing to accommodate us even though they had two big other reservations. I was impressed with the service (our server was always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed). Food was delicious and the set up was great. Big shout out to the manager for arranging the reservation for us, even when we requested it so late. Would for sure go back and recommend this location whether you need a table for 2 or a table of 15. I had the blacked chicken Caesar and it was delicious. Excellent“
“Some of the most legit gumbo you'll ever have in your life. It's a quirky spot, in a good way. Clearly the owner is friends with the regulars, but this is more a pro than a con. It is welcoming, and a great place for a conversation. There's something wonderfully casual about the place. You won't be fussed over, but it's weirdly accommodating to both privacy and extroverted interaction.“
“Salisbury House has been a part of my life since I was a child. Since moving to South Winnipeg, the Stafford Steet Sals has been my go-to location. Great food and specials, as well as a seniors menu. The decor includes some famous Winnipeg musician items that adds a uniqueness to the space. The pancakes have always been my favorite item, as well as the egg nips and coleslaw.“
“If you are looking for a variety of great tasting fresh roasted coffee, served by a staff that is both personable and friendly and who clearly enjoy where they work, I highly recommend the Thom Bargen Coffee Roasters at 64 Sherbrooke St. Naturally there is a cost for the coffee, but the variety of eclectic background music and the warm atmosphere are free.“
“Our lunch was pleasant. They delivered the wrong order but quickly replaced it with the ordered item. They even offered a salad to eat during the time it took to make the dish, but it came so quickly it wasn't necessary. Thanks for an enjoyable time.“
“I recently dined at Brazen Hall where I ordered a full half chicken and I must say, it was prepared perfectly! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere really added to the overall experience. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the mood for a great meal and excellent service. Thank you Juhnaid!!!“
“I went to this restaurant last week with my family which is the garden city branch and i was so impressed with their ambience. I like their foods, the foods were amazing, generous portion and affordable prices. I also like the atmosphere and the fantastic services especially the server who assisted us. Bryant was so nice, friendly and gave us quick service. He also helped us introduce all the menu because this was our first time to dine in at this restaurant. All in all, we had a great experience at this restaurant and I higly recommend this location and will surely go back here again.“
“Love the new menu here and our server, Holly, was so so kind! The food was great and they were super accommodating with my dairy free requests! For a mall restaurant, I had a really great meal with friendly service and a nice clean space :-)“
“The food and drinks are really good. Had nachos with cheese and chicken and classic ceaser. The nachos are so tasty. The portioning of ceaser is really good.Parking: Free parking lot in front of the store.Wheelchair accessibility: The store has wheel chair accessible entrance“
“Delightful service that was so positive and friendly. First time here and it first time eating pizza soup! Love the lunch specials and clean atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Loved the tomato and swiss vegetarian sandwich option. An upscale adult grilled cheese!“
“The restaurant staff were absolutely lovely. I was in a bit of a rush so I ran in for some Soup of the Day, which was mushroom, and oh my word ... take all my money and just give me the whole pot it was amazing. will definitely be crossing the street for lunch more often.“
“We were served by Jade who is a very lovely person. She took good care of us. The special burger we have for tonight is absolutely AMAZING. I definitely recommend to keep this burger on the menu permanently. Best burger for Le Burger Week so far in my opinion. Plus the view was awesome too.“
“I gotta say, this place has some of the best consemme soup ever!! Staff is very friendly, and they are so generous when you get rice with your meal!!! My small rice is overflowing, I love it. This soup is my favourite, especially on days when I don’t feel well so thank you for making my day!“
“Was greeted promptly and very nicely! Seemed to be super busy so the wait for our orders was longer than usual, but completely understandable and was reassured multiple times, which we found made up for the wait. Super sweet service followed up by amazing food that was hot, fresh and delicious. Compliments to the hardworking chefs! Not to mention how well made and superb our drinks were! Thanks bartender, you killed it! After our dishes were cleared with almost no hesitation we were greeted by three separate staff that asked our thoughts on the food, drinks and music, all of which was very very good! A great night that we very much appreciated!“
“Visiting Earl's Restaurant was an experience worth sharing. The atmosphere is contemporary and relaxing, striking a perfect balance between modern flair and comfort. The moment I walked in, the ambience invited me to unwind and look forward to the meal ahead. Additionally, the service was top-notch; our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. When it comes to the food, Earl's consistently maintains a high standard. Each dish was a testament to their commitment to quality and flavor, leaving us impressed and satisfied. However, one minor drawback was the parking situation. The restaurant shares a parking lot with Montana next door, making it a bit challenging to find a spot during peak hours. Despite this, the overall experience at Earl's was delightful, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere.“
“I've been here a few times (4 times, I think) over the past few years and it has always been the same experience.....food is great but service is very slow. Not sure if it has to do with the large crowds before an event at the Concert Hall or Theatre Centre which strain the service staff, but something should be done to address this. Staff is nice... just under-numbered it seems. Went there for a private event recently as well. Food was fantastic and service was much better.Keep doing what you do but with more bodies thrown in the mix.“
“When I received my meal I thought my food was quite over cooked . So I didn’t say any anything and just ate it but as I kept eating it was very evident that it was overcooked when my server came to me again she asked me how can I make it right and I said no it’s fine that I just wanted her to know turned out she brought me a delicious Oreo dessert. Anyway her way with people is absolutely the best I ve ever seen my waitress name was Mar“
“Jenna is amazing. She goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is top notch. Usually I find waitresses can sometimes “hover” even tho they’re trying to help, Jenna doesn’t hover, is the most sociable and respectful person whether you’re 9 or 90. I especially appreciated how patient and kind she was to the elderly couple in the next booth. She spoke slowly and enunciated clearly without being condescending…. Which is what elderly people require. Jenna is a true asset to your restaurant and deserves recognition for her pleasant manner!!“
“Great place for a Saturday evening date with the wife. Bartenders were really friendly and mixed some excellent cocktails. Food was great when the munchies kicked in. The atmosphere was quiet enough to hold a conversation but not so loud as to be overheard. Had a great time overall.“
“With Montana’s being the title sponsor for the Brier, my friend and I kicked the week of great curling at Montana’s (St. Mary’s Road in Winnipeg). The place was busy at 5:15 p.m. They have started asking people to wait to be seated in the lounge. It was a bit rough getting in but was mainly due to a miscommunication. Once we were in, we enjoyed a lovely evening with good food, the curling on TV and an awesome server, Parker. Parker was great from the get go. He was attentive, fun and overall great. Made our evening so enjoyable. Thanks Parker!“
“**Shoutout to the amazing Hostess named Teyah at Joey Kenaston!** Meeting friends for a night out, I was immediately greeted by her warm smile and friendly personality. She made me feel special right from the start, setting a fantastic tone for the entire evening. 5 stars for her attentiveness and for making a great impression!“
