“With Montana’s being the title sponsor for the Brier, my friend and I kicked the week of great curling at Montana’s (St. Mary’s Road in Winnipeg). The place was busy at 5:15 p.m. They have started asking people to wait to be seated in the lounge. It was a bit rough getting in but was mainly due to a miscommunication. Once we were in, we enjoyed a lovely evening with good food, the curling on TV and an awesome server, Parker. Parker was great from the get go. He was attentive, fun and overall great. “I had the Cajun chicken burger. The chicken was very tender and the bun was amazingly soft and fresh. My friend had the homemade chicken fingers which they thought was great. The fries were so good we ended up ordering a plate of them to snack on. There’s a good selection of draught beers and, most importantly, the service was fantastic. “My sister and I had our Friday night meet up at Bistro on Notre Dame. It was an amazing eating experience! It was our first time dining at the Bistro and we loved it! The Zaayoon soup was delicious! We shared a platter that had duck, bison, walleye, mushrooms, onion rings, wedges of potato all done to perfection! We love foods that are rich with herbs and spices and they delivered! The bannock was soo good and the flavoured butters that were served with just took it across the finish line! We were so stuffed and satisfied that we had to bring home our dessert to eat another day? We had the Poochin Paen the next day and it was worth the wait!Finally, our server and host whose name I’m sad to say that I forgot ☺️ was so gracious and attentive.I will be going back soon!“
