“The Yellowdog is my jam, no other bar save for maybe DMC has this much room in my heart, Greg, the manager has a heart of gold despite a sometimes gruff exterior, love that man. Sara, Amanda (❤ Kendra) are the best! The Yellowdog is tops for atmosphere on any night but especially game and concert nights, when you find your place and your people you just know, the Yellowdog is that for me.“

“If you're looking for a place to grab a beer and chat with friends, consider the Thirsty Lion Tavern 🍺 Atmosphere is a sports style pub, so I imagine this place can get packed when the games on. The service was pretty chill, our server was kind, friendly, was overall great.
The food's pretty good. My party really liked the califlower bites with the sriracha honey sauce, and a beer cheese dip (can't remember what it was called, a bit oily, went down great with more beer. We ended up dipping our califlower bites in it and loved it even more).
I reccomend staying away from the mussels, but that's at my own personal preference. They're served in a broth, which honestly did nothing for the overall flavour for the mussels. From the menus description, I was expecting a creamy white wine sauce. We ended up getting a translucent broth that was pretty much fishy tasting spiced water. I can only describe the experience as bland, saved slightly by the small bits of tomatoes floating in the broth, which honestly felt weird with a white wine broth? Like why add more acidity?

Overall, a nice place to hang out to grab a beer. Stay away from mussels and enjoy the other menu options!“

“Visited for the first time and was very impressed. Our server was a delight, the wait for food wasn't long at all and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken pot pie and it was divine. Friend had the fish and chips and gave it 2 thumbs up! The atmosphere is very laid back with a mix of traditional and modern. Pricier but the food and the vibes make it so worth it. The ONLY issue - I am a wheelchair user and it was extremely difficult getting in and out of the restaurant. Also the tables are definitely not designed to have a wheelchair under it. 9/10 will visit again!“

“Everything was good, great place to watch the game. Server was present but not attentive and when asking for things that we did not have, like napkins while they got them, it just had this underlining tone that we were inconveniencing them. Service was not bad tho, but would have had a better experience if the server was more friendly.“

“Always a blast at Shannon’s! There’s always something to do there! The staff are always kind and welcoming and as a woman, I feel safe and protected at Shannon’s. No doubt it can get stupid busy as it is located close to the RBC and Canada Life centre, but the staff are always on the ball and get shit done no matter the foot traffic. If you like a bar that feels like a proper dive bar with a hell of a lot of Jameson; Shannon’s is the place to go! Bonus points for Kareoke and Trivia nights!“

“Lovely place… Clean, Super Friendly Staff, Fast & Easy Service.
Group of 8 went here between the hours of 8-10P.M. 100% would recommend for people looking to have fun.

Willing to refill iced tea & water which was super nice of them… also got the shot glasses (when we forgot to take them back, so thank you)

Drinks were at an average price… you’re looking between $6-12 per drink unless you want some FANCY STUFF. Then that will run your wallet but drinks were delicious.

Food was also sooooo good, 10/10 on that. Cooked to perfection - cool enough to eat too.

“I ordered the pasta fettuccine ai something sorry I can't remember, it tastes amazing, the pasta is done well along with the sauce. The breads sticks are good, and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is very calm. The staff was very calm and patient, along with the staff being so kind. This is my first time here and I'll definitely be coming back! 10/10“

“Went to Tavern Windsor Park last night. This place is HUGE! It was very clean, Rain was a great server, and Harry, the supervisor was awesome. Very funny, and attentive. Would definitely go back, especially with a group of friends of special event tv night. Had the Reuben, which was one of my favorites that I've had in the City, poutine was good, and spinach dip was awesome.“

“Garbonzo’s Sports Pub HSC is very well located inside the Canad Inns hotel, with direct connection to HSC and the University of Manitoba. They offer both dine-in service at the restaurant tables and take-out options, which is super convenient if you’re nearby for work, studies, or appointments.

We ordered pizza and they were delicious, especially the sausage and the veggie versions. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a wide variety of food options on the menu, and the service was friendly and efficient.
