“Walked in to the tiny place and got exactly what I wanted. Apple has this place at 3* but I don’t feel that’s fair. Only two people work here. I ordered my food at 3:30 pm and got it 12 minutes later. Delicious and exactly what I wanted. 10/10 great place to get some decent sushi!“

“We stopped by Naru Sushi last Friday evening after a day of wandering around downtown and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and cozy the dining room felt. My husband ordered the dragon roll and couldn't stop talking about how fresh the fish tasted, while I enjoyed a bowl of miso soup that hit the spot after being outside all day. The staff were patient with us as we asked a dozen questions about the menu, even recommending a few things we wouldn't have tried otherwise. Parking right out front made the whole evening easy, and we're already planning to come back next time we're in Winnipeg.“

“Some items I found expensive compared to other places. Taste was very good. Rolls are on the bigger side but when I went, I can't speak for all other times, the rolls weren't closed properly which caused some to fall apart. Still tasty, I just prefer to not make a mess.“

“Everything we've gotten here has been excellent, and reasonably priced.
Generous portions of sashimi, nigiri with the perfect rice to fish ratio, perfect rolls, and tender and crispy tempura.
The service is excellent too. Theyr are attentive and make sure you're well taken care of. They're also very sweet to our kid.
Dining in and takeout have both impressed us. Every time we eat here we question why we bother with the other sushi options in the area.“

“This is the best sushi in Winnipeg. we stumbled upon this gem about a month ago and were amazed by how delicious and reasonably priced it is. Our second visit today was even better! Absolutely everything we've sampled is delicious; from the sushi pizza, the beef tataki, the rolls, the miso.. and the Sapporo frozen beer... 5☆. On top of fabulous food is the service! A+! I can not recommend this restaurant enough. If we lived closer we would probably be in at least twice a week!“

“Vegetarian options: They have a variety of vegetarian options and they can accommodate your preferred choice. The employees there are always very friendly, helpful and ready to serve you! I have only had the ready-made take-out to go trays which are very organized, nicely packed and all tasty and delicious. This little restaurant does not disappoint and I would recommend picking up from here even if you just want a quick healthy snack. The food here definitely satisfies the hunger pangs!“

“My only sushi spot in Winnipeg. All the rolls come in the perfect size for eating, delicious, fresh, and always beautifully presented. The staff is so polite and so accommodating to my requests for extra ginger. We have been long-time customers for over the past 30 years, as the chef moved around to different locations. Just the best!“

I have to say this is probably the best I’ve ever had. The mushroom was were fresh and the rice was unbelievably tasty.

“This was a fantastic experience. Both the sushi and the barbecue were delicious and I was never disappointed with anything I ordered. The servers were kind and attentive and my water glass was constantly getting refilled. The food came out very quickly (30secs-2mins) You get free ice cream with the all you can eat!! “I visited Blufish yesterday evening with my boyfriend and my mom (we were all craving sushi), and we heard lots of great reviews and word that Blufish was one of the top places in Winnipeg to go for good sushi (alongside Yujiro on Grant). We reserved a table earlier in the day online - this was a super easy and convenient option! We ended up arriving 15 minutes early and they were able to accommodate (I was 100% okay with waiting if needed, but it was great to see how accommodating and welcoming the crew at Blufish was). ☺️ First off - the cocktails. 😍 I tried both their Plumtini and Lychee-tini, and I honestly could have sipped on those all night long. Our server was really great with recommending cocktails to try as well! Between the three of us, we ordered a variety of items - from edamame beans and vegetable tempura, to sashimi and nigiri sushi, and a few different rolls. I myself have a shellfish allergy (a sin for a person who loves sushi), and the staff were very accommodating with making sure that the items that were unsafe for me were on separate plates, and they acknowledged when those specific rolls were on the table as well. Kudos to the staff - this effort meant so much to me! 🙌🏼 The sashimi and nigiri was amazing, their wasabi was great - the only items I found I could have passed on were their salmon bakudan roll, the seaweed wrap was quite chewy and not my favourite, and their philadelphia roll (again, just a tad bit chewier than I’m used to - although I will say that I really appreciated that they were open to switching out the smoked salmon for raw salmon with this roll). These are not reasons that will deter me from returning though - I will definitely come back again! I can definitely vouch after this visit that Blufish is indeed one of the top places in Winnipeg for sushi - I will agree with that one!“

“We just ate here today for the first time. I tried quite a few sushi places in the last couple years since my favourite place closed and now I think I have found a new favourite. I thoroughly enjoyed everything that I ate. The service was quick. The food was amazing and the price was actually very reasonable.“

“After reading a lot of the reviews I, my best 1/2 and family went to Kuma sushi. We were there around noon on 09/02/2026. My granddaughter loves the place.
Here I go. Parking, sucks.
The menu has a lot of options. The very nice young gal who took our order was VERY helpful as my daughter in law has a gluten allergy. The ordering was quick and plainless. While we were waiting on delivery gent arrived for a pickup and his order was ready when he arrived. Our order didn’t take long in my view. The place is very small and not too much room to wait for your order. There were five staff and they were busy the entire time we were there. As for the sushi everyone thought it was very good. Me, I am not a big sushi fan but it was good.
Overall 4+ stars.
Will we go again, yes when my granddaughter says so.“
