An amazing Winnipeg institution. The VJ special is one of the best fat boys out there. Messy, tasty and hits every spot possible. Just wish they didn't close over the winter. :)
I don't get takeout often due to dietary restrictions, but VJ's staff assured me nothing goes in the fryer besides potatoes. Their fries have become my weekly gluten free treat, and they always hit the spot.

Got there on the last day before they closed for the winter and I couldn’t have been luckier. Fantastic service, great burgers, endless portions. It’s been a Winnipeg staple for decades for a reason. Walk in to get a taste of history and enjoy the friendly faces to boot. You have to try the VJ’s special - a fully loaded hamburger topped with chili. Will have to come back when I have more room in my tummy to crush a milkshake.
