I grew up in Oakbank and have many memories of the previous restaurant. As an adult, we visited a few months ago and we had a good experience. We dined in this evening for a late anniversary/birthday dinner and everything was delicious. The portions are generous. Everyone at the table was satisfied. Our server was friendly. We got the monster cheesecake to take home and its amazing! On both occasions, the owner stopped and talked to us at our table, and he could been seen doing...
Food should get 3 stars cuz out of a party of 10, 3 meals weren't as good as they should have been. The calamari was rubbery, the chicken fingers were hard, and the riblets were over cooked. I had the Peppercorn Burger which had cracked black peppercorns and mozzarella cheese. That burger was the best burger I've ever tasted tho. So I'm going to bump the food up to 4 stars.
Great service from Natasha, and plenty of food on the plate. The clubhouse, chicken fingers, and pulled pork were all very good. It was our first time there and we'd all go back again
