Jimmy's Submarine & Dairy Delight

The food was ok, quite disappointing from the other reviews posted.
It was an oven inside the restaurant, people were using napkins to wipe the sweat off their brow. We didn’t have a complicated order, 2 burgers fries and onion rings and it easily took 20 minutes. We came out from Winning for a hockey tournament and we will be back tomorrow but will find somewhere else to spend our money. Very disappointing.

No complaints here. Just positive vibes.

GOOD FOOD with awsome service.

In town from Edmonton, AB and decided to pop in here for lunch. Definitely a great decision!! Big portions, delicious beef, and the fries and gravy were top notch. Not sure when or If I'll ever be back in Portage, but if I do, I'll be back for lunch ?

Old half cooked fries

My husband and I ordered 2 fat boy burgers and a poutine. It cost a VERY reasonable $30. We were impressed!! Food tasted great and had a unique spin from everything else in town! We will be back!!

Ordered my first ever fatboy burger
The meat was very good
50% of burger was lettuce and bun was old , had a stale taste
A lady came in 3 minutes after me and was served before cause it seemed like the host knew her. Not great for business

Host is extremely rude, I called to ask a question and got yelled at, won’t be coming in to support after all

My wife and I come here all the time, we have the pleasure of living so close its a nice little walk to pick up a chili fry, or a fat boy. The atmosphere gives me nostalgia which to me is a nice warming feeling, the plants across the roof inside are very well taken care of and add some nature is pretty cool. The counter lady (i am sorry bad with names) is a joy to talk to most times, even when people have bad days she has always professional. I would give it a 5 for food but sometimes the fat boy has a different seasoning, its not bad just not as good as the orginal.
