My mom and I stopped by here for lunch after it was recommended to us by a local. We were able to get a table despite not having a reservation, which was awesome. It was very busy - every table was full, so it was a bit of a wait to get our food. But it was worth the wait! The sandwiches and soups we ordered were delicious. The homemade bread was awesome. Service was good. We will definitely be back in the future!

I can only say WONDERFUL things about Buttercup Cafe. While, I've been here for meals and LOVE all of the food, I also got married at their celebration hall! I cannot recommend Buttercup enough for a wedding. We were taken care of from the beginning of planning to the very end of the wedding day! George and Susanne are so accommodating, helpful, and a joy to work with. From the set up to the take down, there wasn't one thing that went wrong, and that was thanks to them and their wonderful staff. Thank you again for your beautiful space!

Choosing this location for our wedding was the best decision we could have made. George and Susanne were so kind and willing to help out in all ways from planning to the big day. We appreciated their constant communication and hospitality. The venue itself is also stunning leaving lots of places for pictures. We cannot say enough good things about the venue and staff and would highly recommend to all.

One of my favourite spots for coffee and good conversation with a friend! I could spend hours admiring the varied art pieces on the walls, and even the bathroom wallpaper has character. Servers are always attentive and friendly, they actually make conversation and do more than just the bare minimum. Delicious baked goods, and generous portion sizes - highly recommend the Bee Sting Cake and the scones. Menu is on the pricey side but cafe is well worth supporting and you're getting good quality, homemade treats. Great place to get away from the bustle of Winkler and enjoy some natural scenery. They also host fun events which feel both elegant and accessible, like the cake picnic and Waffle Saturday this summer.

I met a friend for lunch and we both had Soup & Salad. Both were excellent. The patio is great. Enclosed so you're not bothered by wind or traffic & the pergola effect overhead meant no hot sun beating down. Wonderful place and off the beaten path.
