I am from out of town in on a business trip. Heard good things about this restaurant. Went in to order a chicken burger and fries and was charged almost $20, that’s ridiculous and the amount of fries they give you is a complete joke.Food is mediocre at best.Prices are outrageous for the amount of food they don’t give you.Will never order from here again

I took my fiancée here for our very first time on February 15th, 24. I was unsure of a few things so I asked our waitress. At one point she even mentioned that she wasn't sure and that she'd have to check with someone else- which she did. Immediately. I was happy with this response, and her demeanor. She confirmed that we could do what I had requested (in order to make the meal more affordable) Everything seemed decent, until I went to pay for our food.I explained to the cashier (who was also pleasant) the situation that had been okayed (for lack of a better term) and she started to adjust it at the till. When she couldn't figure out how to do it, she went over to an older woman (whom I assume was the manager) and explained the situation to her. This woman came over and proceeded to tell me "We don't do that here." To which I responded "Oh. Because I made sure I asked if you did before ordering, and was told it was okay." She responds with "No. We don't." Very curtly, I might add. I then clarified that our hostess had even gone and asked someone else because she was unsure, and had come back with confirmation that this was something that the restaurant could do. She then told me "She's pretty new, so no, we don't do that here." ..and walked away. I was shocked that THIS is how a Manager (I believe) was willing to talk to a customer and how impolite and utterly dismissive and rude she was without even considering what I had to say, or trying to understand where I was coming from.I've been noticing a lot lately that restaurants just don't care about their service or their customers anymore. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be back, which is a damn shame because the food was good and the waitress did an excellent job even if she WAS "new".Thank you for reading, but I do not recommend Toppers Family Restaurant unless it doesn't bother you to be treated in such a manner.

I've been here numerous times for the food and today I was extremely disappointed with my breakfast. My group all ordered breakfast and we all got stale shredded Hashbrowns that were hard to chew, over easy eggs were almost over hard and had grey spots on them indicating that the grill was not very clean. Myself and 1 other person in my group have been cooks for many years in numerous restaurants and know what food should look & taste like. Our server never offered a refill on our coffee and never asked how our food was. Other than taking our order we didn't see her. A different server brought us our food. I won't be back there again for breakfast for a long time, if ever.

First impression was the limited parking on the property and no on street parking available. The dining room was quite nice and contrasted by a dirty carpet. They don't let customers use their WiFi yet they have three hotspots? That is really poor for a business in the hospitality industry. The servers were pleasant although I waited 5 minutes to find out it was seat yourself, 5 more minutes for table service and there were few people in the place. The server came back with my drink 1 minute later which was great but then wanted my order...after 1 minute? Please, give customers some time to look at the menu! I waited another ten minutes before another server came to take my order. In the meantime the same server took care of two new tables of customers who had their meals long before me. That is REALLY POOR SERVICE! Also, the servers need to come around a few times. I waited a long time for a refill of hot water while the servers buzzed around refilling coffee for others quite frequently. The menu has lots of variety including all day breakfast and prices were quite affordable. I had the evening special - Tacos with rice and refried beans. It was very good, reasonable portions and priced quite reasonably at $13.19. The kitchen is open concept and you can see everything. That is a double edged sword for the business owners. I was not impressed to see a cook on ladder cleaning ceiling and lights at a time when customers are there. All that dust and dirt is coming down on food prep counters and food directly below. It's a serious health and safety issue. Did any of that junk get in my food? Toppers is OK but I'm in no rush to return.
