Picked up a dozen macaroons yesterday, unfortunately some were quite stale. The ones that were fresh were good but very disappointed - haven't been to the bakery for a few years. The store is lovely with lots of tempting items.
Will pass on macaroons though going forward if I return

Staff are very friendly. I bought 9 different desserts and my family loved all of them. All very fresh and creamy.

This is a wonderful local bakery which sells a variety of exquisitely prepared pastries, including croissants, cakes, cookies, and other delicious items. Absolutely wonderful place to stop by. There is a limited number of seats available inside as well. Great location in West Kildonan on Main Street. I highly recommend.

I live across the city but I would always make the effort to stop at this bakery when nearby.
I love so many of the fantastic bakeries we have all across the city.
Yesterday I ordered 3 pastries, a chocolate brownie, creme brûlée and a loaf of bread.
The pastries were all disappointing. Croissants were not flakey but chewy. The brownie was definitely stale. I threw it away.
It’s sad that this is not the place it once was. I did not know it was under new ownership until I read other reviews.
But I would say the sourdough bread was absolutely fresh and still warm! It was not up to my normal expectation for sourdough… but was very good bread.
We have such amazing places here in Winnipeg that any business will face some stiff competition from other bakery’s. The expectation coming into a small place like this is that it will be fresh, and an authentic experience. I doubt I will be back.

I ordered a Raspberry Tart, the brioche was soft and delicious. I wish they had more raspberry in it, I think I had 3 pieces on mine but they were tasty and fresh.

My husband and I love their creme brulle! Have had a few other things here and have never been disappointed.

A little disappointing. Walked in for opening on a Sunday and there was nothing freshly baked. It was day olds I think. It doesn't seem to be a French bakery anymore either. The focus wasn't on any of those items.

They have really good stuff. I tried some of the items, all were delicious, fresh and exactly same how I imagined in my head. I love the way, they embellish all the items. Almond croissant and mix fruit tart was up to the mark..pastry was yumm!

Not a single pastry item is fresh. weeks old stale and the lady cashier or owner of this store will take no responsibility to fix the order. Instead will cry racism!! Owner has no "guts" to come forward and speak with customer eye to eye. Everyone who's been labeled racist or has no "guts" by this owner should file a complain!

This owner needs to understand that they're in Canada and there's rules and regulation that everyone has to follow regarding their immigration status or race. Canada is a multicultural society and if you cannot tolerate other races except east Indians then you should stop your business and try something else.

Nobody is discriminating against any race. The owner of this place has a victim mentality and thus unable to take any negative feedback and improve services. Your cheating customer by misleading them into believing something and when they enter it's a different. Stop labeling people racist as the word is losing its value because of victim mentality people like you.

In India if the restaurant advertising as veg and then you enter to see they sell non-veg too, things won't settle down calmly. People riot in India for simple reasons like this what you're doing here in Canada. So try to accept the fact that you're misleading and correct your business practices!

Bought a loaf of the original sour dough. Has a nice crust but the bread inside does not look like sour dough, does not smell like sour dough, does not taste like sour dough...basic dry white bread, would not buy again.

This is no longer L’epi belle.
It is an India bakery now
