Ordered a mozza burger combo. Stood at the counter and waited for my order. Literally THE ONLY person waiting for food. After 5 mins the staff member behind the counter shouts out my order while looking directly at me and places it on top of the drink machine. I was less than 5 feet away from her and she’s screaming my order into the abyss of the mall while making direct eye contact with me. I reach out my hands in hungry expectation and she drops it on top of the drink machine entirely out of reach and stands there staring at me like I’ve ripped the bloody bottom head off the A&W Rootbear.
Like. I ordered from her. Stood there the whole time. Was the only person in the joint and she intentionally places my food at the opposite end of the counter on top of the drink machine after screaming its contents at me? 😂🤦🏻♀️
It was so bizarre. She couldn’t just give me my order? I wasn’t rude. I was polite when I ordered. Still can’t figure out why she pulled a mozza burger power move on me.
Yes this is a seemingly petty review but it was just so odd. It was one of those forced social interactions that sticks with you because it was so strange.
If you’re scared of awkward encounters - avoid this A&W.

I'm not here often and the visit was one to remember! The facility was very clean, the food came out fresh, neatly placed, and right away. I met their Manager and she was welcoming and friendly. Would recommend!

Ordered the $4.99 teen burger as it was on sale. Bun was soggy and the patty was tiny like a McDonald hamburger. Definitely would not pay full price for that tiny burger.

A&W is the only fast food I will eat. Had the buddy burger with cheese combo. It was okay. Root beer was not that cold but the food was hot !

How bacon is supposed to come on a teen burger? For $9 I expect more then a single strip of bacon cut in half? I'm willing to bet the own is just being cheap and ignoring the build chart to save money. Come A&W you can do better

Carmina is the manager of this best A&W in Winnipeg! Carmina and her hard working (a little raise could help) staff have made my A&W experience of not eating A&W for almost 6 years!
Room for improvement, but I highly recommend the Cabanero Chicken and I really look forward to a Teen burger combo! 6 years is too long to wait for food so good and excellent customer service! Worth the trip!
poutine looks awfull i talked to manager and didnt get any good response i like a&w poutine more than mcdonalds but i am switching back to mcD now after this experience
I never come back for breakfast at this branch as they do not have enough space for a group of 6 and also no coffee refill

Ordered our favorite teen burgers, sweet potato fries, and root beer drinks for afternoon snack, with my wife and daughter at Grant Park Mall.A&W staff was very pleasant taking our orders, prepared to serve just on time, and of course were perfectly prepared the way we wanted.Savored every bite . . . sipped . . . burped!Looking forward to our next visit soonest!Thank you ?
