For a quiet restaurant this evening, the service was pathetic. The East Indian server was slow as hell, no refill on water, there was only 4 other customers and yet the food took half an hour to order chicken wrap smh.

Waited in line 35 mins on a busy nite. Seen open tables not been used , staff walking around not been productive, and 30 ppl in line trying to pay to get out . Very unorganized restaurant. Ended up walking away cause we run out of time . What we learned was to plan farther in advance and eat elsewhere.

I love this Aaltos!!! It's my favorite of the three I know. The staff are always kind and funny, the service is fast, the restaurant is clean and tidy, and the food is delicious. I would recommend you check that there's no special event before you go, as it can alter what's available. My favorite meals are the beer battered pickerel, deep fried pickles, and the club sandwich. The buffets are well worth the money, particularly the soup, salad, and dessert bar.

Don’t ever go on a Sunday night, awful staff.. never asked how the meal was, never got refill on soda. Fries too salty, waited until the end of the meal for new fries. Soup had too much sugar, beef on the buffet was tough, needed a steak knife to cut it. Manager wasn’t sympathetic.

If it was for a very pleasant server who was very helpful, we would have sent everything back.
Waffles- stone cold
Bacon - seems like they took from the breakfast buffet, could have used for a hockey puck.
Eggs- no real care done to cooking them
Toast-asked for lightly buttered, looked like they dipped them in butter
I've heard bad things about Aaltos, but wanted to witness it, they weren't wrong..... I would give the food zero stars if I could

The worst experience with management I have ever had. I saw a manager almost yell at an employee for a minor mistake. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour. Do better.

I spent the better part of 2 months staying at the hotel, having dinner every night and often breakfasts/lunch. Awesome food!! So worth the visit and the 2 well dressed gentleman who work at the front are more welcoming and helpful than you would ever expect. Shaaf and Kapil made me look forward to coming each evening, full of smiles and good conversation. Cheryl was also a gem that needs to be mentioned, what a great server and good conversationalist she was over the weeks. I would definitely recommend Aaltos for the utmost professionalism, not to mention the fact that the food is top notch!
PS. The breaded shrimp are to die for! And the memories of their brunch will forever haunt me, longing for another visit.

We have been to the seafood buffet a few times at Aaltos on Regent on Friday evenings and found it ok. However this past Friday May 23rd my wife and daughter both got food poisoning and were sick all weekend. We narrowed it down to being the mussels as that is the only item that I didn't eat and I was fine. We found the quality of the food not as good as before. After this experience I don't think we will return. Very disappointed.
