Excellent time at this hidden gem in Osborne! Very spacious inside. Their miso soup comes in a decent portion size, larger bowl than other sushi places. Tried 3 specialty rolls and they were all delicious. Their rolls are huge and filled! Would definitely come back to try their other menu items.

The specialty rolls were really good however your common rolls weren't anything spectacular. Service was prompt but the waitress didn't return to check on our table after serving our orders even though there was only 1 other table during the first 30-40 minutes of being seated. Unfortunately, this restaurant isn't all that it's hyped up to be.

My late night dinner stop in Osborne. Their sushi rolls portions are so generous compared to other spots in the city. I recommend the sushi mini ship platter to share with friends. Cherry Blossom roll is my favourite. The prices are unmatched. Reasonable prices for huge portions of sushi.

Favorite little sushi spot in Winnipeg! So glad I stumbled upon this place. It is rated one of the best sushi places in Winnipeg and people aren’t wrong! The Sushi is absolutely delicious, and there are many different kinds to choose from. Also, their fried soft shell crab is outta this world. Sooo yummy, best appetizer on the menu😋. Also love love love that they stay open later! Always roll into town late, and this place is open when I want a late dinner. Only thing is that it gets super busy in there, so service can be a bit slow. There tends to be only one young lady that’s working in there waiting tables and I think that she is doing a great job, and the best that she can with the help that she has. And, with the nice atmosphere and great food, it makes it well worth the wait so I don’t mind. Parking can also be a bit challenging as it’s a very busy area in the evenings and I drive a pickup, so that makes it even more difficult. Worse case scenario, just take an Uber there. Highly recommend Akindo, and always come here when I’m in Winnipeg!

The BEST sushi place in winnipeg! Their sushi is always fresh and tasty, i legit only go to this sushi restaurant. Their overall vibe of the restaurant is so cozy with dim lights and not the bright ones that will blind you like other restaurants! It makes me sad that when i go into to eat there’s not many customers or customers at all, this place deserves so much more recognition and attention. The more i go the more I’m amazed, please go to this place cause you’ll love it!!

We visited this sushi restaurant for the first time and we loved it. My partner’s favorite was the Atlantis Roll: the salmon and avocado were very fresh, and what stood out the most is that they don’t overload the rolls with rice. Instead, they let the main ingredients shine, which makes a big difference. The rice itself was perfectly cooked and everything tasted freshly made.
The service was also excellent. They were very careful with my partner’s allergy, which made us feel safe and well taken care of. Another great point is their late hours, perfect for people who work late since most other places close too early.
Definitely a new favorite spot for us—we’ll be coming back for sure!
