This is the best sushi I've ever had, so many different delicious rolls. I pick up from here almost every Friday. My favorite is the spicy salmon crunch, along with the philadelphia, crunch, fireball, and lovey dovey. I also really enjoy the creamy mushroom tempura, assorted tempura and sunomono salad. 100/10 recommend!

I've had food from Amai Sushi multiple times now and it's always been good. I've had their yakisoba, yaki-udon and bulgogi. You get a lot for your money because the portions are quite big. It's nice to be able to finally get some Korean food in Transcona.

Ordered online asked for real crab got crab stick paid $3 extra for nothing can’t eat it because crab stick has gluten. Called the restaurant they sent me pictures I sent pictures back and never heard back. Choose not to eat it instead of getting sick.

Placed an order through door dash last night for over $100. The restaurant accepted and confirmed our order - we ended up waiting over an hour the dasher was also at the restaurant waiting for a significant amount of time when they abruptly cancelled our order. After over an hour. Could not get any explanation as their phones were switched off. I’m guessing they were too overwhelmed with orders and unable to fulfill them - if that was the case they should not have been accepting door dash offers or waiting for over an hour to cancel them when the dasher was already at the restaurant. Why waste everyone’s time? Really terrible customer service and poor planning. Will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Valentines Day RUINED
I booked a table for this place after a great deal of research to have a lovely Valentines dinner for my partner. Not only was it Valentines but also our anniversary, so I took extra steps to ensure a smooth evening, I went in-person to book my table, was impressed with my interaction with the host and was looking forward to our evening. After reading reviews and the menu we were excited. Upon arriving it was pure chaos, a line to the door. Door dash drivers and people waiting for tables spread out awkwardly all over the tiny restaurant. Waited with everyone for almost 30 minutes at the door with absolutely no acknowledgement whatsoever. We had a reservation. Nobody even said hi to us. The guy in front of us left. Everybody waiting kept looking around awkwardly, people at the tables clearly uncomfortable with all these people hovering over them. We gave up after a significant wait. I felt horrible for planning this night and disappointing my partner who was so upset and hungry. Shame on this place, which is run like a circus. We left hungry and in a desperate effort to find something to eat, every place booked.... fast food it is. Thanks for a great valentines and anniversary!

Placed a DoorDash order at 5:30 PM—it’s now 8:30 PM, and still no food. This place came highly recommended, but the experience has been nothing but disappointing, especially on Valentine’s Day when we were expecting a special meal.

The worst part isn’t just the wait—it’s the complete lack of honesty and communication. Our Dasher has been sitting at the restaurant for over 40 minutes, and when they asked about the order, they were told “just 20 more minutes”—which clearly meant “we have no idea.” To make matters worse, the restaurant shut their phones off, so there was no way for us to even get an answer.

Valentine’s Day or not, this level of service is unacceptable. If you’re thinking of ordering delivery from here, be prepared for an endless wait, frustrated drivers, and absolutely no communication. Very disappointed.

Edit: We finally received our order after 3 hours, and it was a letdown. No wasabi, no ginger, and the rolls barely held together—they were clearly slapped together without care. After such a long wait, this was beyond disappointing.
