“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service at Original Joe’s – Winnipeg, MB

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Original Joe’s here in Winnipeg tonight. I live just down the street, and it’s always great when a local spot delivers the kind of respectful, attentive service that makes you want to keep coming back.

I came in mainly to enjoy a few beers and unwind, and Brittany and Brooklyn completely understood the vibe I was going for. They were quick, friendly, and perfectly timed with their check-ins — exactly the kind of smooth rotational service that makes grabbing a few drinks relaxing instead of inconvenient.

Both of them made me feel welcome the entire time. Never rushed, never ignored — just genuinely great service from start to finish. And the complimentary beer they surprised me with was a classy, much-appreciated touch that really made my night.

Huge shoutout to Brittany and Brooklyn for going above and beyond. They deserve full credit for making this such a great experience.

“Today is Lois birthday, early in our marriage (now 29 years ago) we went out to Tony Romas downtown Winnipeg for ribs and have done it ever since. Sometime, years ago, 20 maybe, while dining at Tony Romas we noticed a young waiter going around and pulling finger puppets out of his apron and entertaining the kids. When he came to our table to take our order I said “ what, we don’t get to see the finger puppets too” at which point he pulled them out and after a short entertaining display he gave one to Lois. We have gone to Tony Romas for birthdays and anniversaries frequently ever since. Today, Lois’ birthday we went to Tony Romas near Polo Park and had a great meal and the waiter was the best. Knowing it was Lois’ birthday, he called over another waiter who sang “happy birthday “ in full voice. We thanked him very much and I told him we have been coming to Tony Romas for years and that many years ago we had a waiter at the downtown restaurant who entertained us with finger puppets. He reached into his apron and produced some finger puppets just like the ones he had entertained us with so many years ago. All these years later he’s still doing it and it was one of the reasons we’ve continued to go to Tony Romas for so many years.“

“All the food was exquisite, starting with the Blocktails, we tried them all, and each one was better than the last. We ordered the Angus steak with chicken and another with added shrimp. Although we asked for the Angus medium and it arrived well done, they immediately offered compensation: we took a properly cooked medium steak home, and they even treated us to a dessert.
The cranberry and apple salad and the truffle fries were absolutely delicious. Excellent service! we’ll definitely be back.“

“This is my favorite spot in Winnipeg. I have been coming here fairly regularly for nearly a year now. The food and drinks are great. This pub is upscale yet comfortable. The regulars at the bar are nice, gregarious people; I've met lots of good folks here.

The service is always excellent. McKenzie, Jon, Emily, and Dasia always keep this place running smoothly (and they're great people too). Lastly, the folks in the kitchen are incredible; the food is of consistently high quality every time I have been here.“

“Came here as a party of 6 before a concert was quickly greeted with waters and chips and salsa. Our server kaylee was awesome she made sure we had everything we needed . The chicken blt is a must have!! Great Portion sizes we will be back! great service and great food“

“My sister and I visited your restaurant for lunch on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. I would like to give a huge shout out to our waitress Chey. She was so amazing with our 89 year old mother. My mom was interested in the Tuesday special which was Crab Legs. She was unsure if she was going to be able to crack open the legs. Chey replied that she would do it for her. When our meals were delivered, Chey came back to our table and opened up all the legs and passed my mom the meat. Mom was so happy to have that done for her. Chey took her time to ensure all was well with her prior to leaving the table to take care of her other tables. Chey is definitely a GEM of a waitress! Thank you for making our mom's trip to Red Lobster a wonderful experience!!“

“went there recently and ended up really enjoying the food. I ordered the loaded nachos, and honestly, the portion was huge. It was way more than I expected, but in a good way. I couldn’t finish it all, so I ended up taking some home, and it still tasted great later. I also tried their wings, which were delicious. They had a few different flavors, and I sampled a couple, but the hot one was definitely my favorite. It had the right amount of heat without killing the taste.
The place overall had a relaxed vibe, and the service was pretty quick. It’s the kind of spot where you can just hang out, eat good food, and not feel rushed. If you’re into big portions and solid wings, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’d go back just for the nachos and the hot wings alone.“

“Never had Harveys before they completely left BC. But somehow I ended up at a Harveys while in Winnipeg for work.

I'm not sure if all Harveys are supposed to be like this, but the food gives me the nostalgic feeling of a home bbq!

“My first time in was on my birthday today. Was more than pleasantly surprised. Had the Beets by Nu chicken burger and it was incredible. My brother had the Stamos burger and it was like he inhaled it. Loved the flavours. Love that it supports the local community and uses locally sourced products. Friendly staff, great service.
