I’ve honestly never had such a rude experience before. The old lady at the bakery counter was extremely unpleasant, and the way I was treated made me feel completely unwelcome. I don’t know if it was personal frustration, racial bias, or just a bad day, but the attitude was unnecessary and disappointing. It’s frustrating because you don’t expect to walk into a bakery and leave feeling upset. I definitely won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ,in fact, if someone tells me they’re planning to go there, I’d feel obligated to warn them about my experience.

We went there to try their hot chocolate of the month and have a snack. I had a torte , Shmoo Torte . The other party I was with had some kind of cheesecake that had shortbread on it.I can't remember it.I just remember it with fantastic. My Shmoo Torte was absolutely fantastic. You have to get there early because there's not a lot of choices.Sometimes when you go in, just due to the popularity of baked expectations.It has been around for so many years and it never disappoints. The gentleman that was helping us, well going around helping all the tables was fantastic. There is nothing bad I can say about baked expectations anytime I go. If you really need to feel the experience of Osborne, in winnipeg manitoba, this establishment needs to be on your list of go tos.

Baked is always a hit! You cannot go wrong with any dessert we had 2 cheesecakes and were very happy!! The portions are big and easy to share!

I love the desserts and the decor here. I'm just not quite sure why there is still social distancing, tables moved so far apart, and a large crowd of doordash drivers standing around crowding the entrance. There were also a few delivery cars illegally parked blocking a bus when we arrived. My recommendation is to find a way to provide delivery services without sacrificing the experience for customers dining in. The mousse still met all of my expectations.

Fake expectations is located on Osborne Street in Osborne Village. It is an absolutely wonderful place to go to if you’re a cheesecake enthusiast!. They have a wide variety of cheesecakes as well as hot drinks, including tea, coffee, and espresso. Wonderful service and plenty of seating!. Parking is a bit of a challenge but street parking is available at limited hours. I highly recommend.

A little disappointed. I ordered a slice of the Tia Maria torte. I’ve had this one several times in the past it’s my favourite one, but I’m not sure anymore. Maybe they’ve changed their recipe but I felt like I was eating a box of crunchy cookies. I usually the whip cream is spread around the layers of cookies but not this time so the cake/cookies really didn’t soften at all.
