Tried out Bertos today for the first time and the birria tacos were amazing. I ordered 6 of them and i wish i ordered 6 more. The horchata was also amazing. Atmosphere is a little cramped and awkward but those tacos were worth it.

I came here with my friend who was looking for the cornstar burgers “the burger they have for burger week” of this place, just to find out they also sell variety of modern mexican dishes, and a lot of tacos hehe 🤭🤗
Tacos are exceptional, specifically the mushroom pastor taco, it was really awesome, I wish they sell something like that in India. The chicken was good, i just wish it comes with more vegetable and yes it could be a little bit pricey but the flavor is fabulous. And the people there are so nice and welcoming. Definitely worth a try. Will surely recommend this to everyone who wants to try new and exciting flavors and concepts!!!

Ordered 3 chicken tacos, 3 suadero tacos, and nachos to-go. The chicken tacos lacked flavor and the texture of the chicken was tough, dry and gritty. The beef on the suadero tacos was actually flavorful and quite tender, however the beef was coated in so much oil that it made the tacos so soggy they couldn't be picked up without falling apart. The nachos were advertised as having house made chips, yet they came made with Doritos... seriously?! Honestly felt like we wasted money on this meal. I cannot recommend going here, there are much better and more affordable options out there.

This is a must if you love tacos. Most exquisite ones in the city. This is a truly traditional Mexican restaurant

We finally had the chance to drop into Berto's 🌮 in their new North location. We tried the birria & chorizo tacos, and Dori-nachos. The birria tacos and consome were very good with tons of flavor. They were a bit more spiced up than authentic birria from Mexico, but this tasted better. The chorizo tacos were also great, with lots of added spices in the meat that gave it great flavor. All of the meats were nice and juicy as well. The Dori-Nachos were okay, but I wouldn't order those again.

Three tacos per person were not too filling, so you may want more than one order. The pricing of the tacos is a bit higher, however, because the tacos tasted great, it's worth the splurge if it's in your budget.

Was impressed with Berto’s Taqueria! this is a great place to go if you want authentic tacos! their flavours are great and well developed, it felt like really good homemade cooking, the service was good as well, everyone was very nice! the only thing i would say is it is very over priced especially considering where it is located and how the atmosphere is, but other than that it is a good restaurant!

Came here for an early supper and my tummy was pleasantly saturated. The birria tacos are very yummy and definitely satisfy the cravings. The beef and consume have a rich barbacoa flavour, and the tortillas are nice and crispy. The dorito nachos were simple but delicious as well. The only complaint sitting on my mind is the price, for 17 dollars it is quite pricy for the portion that you get and you most likely will still be hungry. The atmosphere is nothing special either, didn’t bother me but i know some people care about that. Overall a nice stop if you’re craving birria tacos.

We thought we'd grab a quick bite of authentic Mexican food before we headed to rainbow stage the other night. My wife had the chicken tacos, I had the chicken chimichanga and our daughter had the California burrito.

The tortillas for the chicken tacos were very dry and crumbly. They also had a slightly mouldy aftertaste. My wife couldn't eat it. The California Burrito was stuffed mostly with French fries. I prefer rice beans and cheese. The meat in the burrito had a lot of gristle and was tough. The chimichanga was very tasty with a small side serving of fried rice and refried beans however eating it was difficult. The cutlery is very flimsy plastic and it's served in a plastic basket lined with wax paper which tears up while you try to eat your chimichanga. When paying these prices I expect proper plates and cutlery, unless it's exclusively finger food, which this is not. If we were taking it out I could understand but not if you're sitting in to eat.

The hotel bar absolutely reeks of decades of alcohol and this wafts into the seating area of the restaurant. The parking lot, washrooms and the building in general are badly in need of a refurbishment. We will not be returning as long as they're at this location.
