The new location is hard better for take out. However we love the roti and the chickpea roti is my daughters go to. Jamaican patties and doubles are not super fresh but good.

Had the goat roti yesterday… so good! Potatoes were at the perfect point before getting mushy but soft enough to transform into mashed potatoes in a bite. Goat was PERFECT… not over stewed to the point of falling apart into strings but enough that it slid off the bone, stayed together and yet somehow I didn’t need to floss at the end. Absolutely perfect cook on the main ingredients. The roti as a whole had that proper dry powdery mouth feel but was, at the same time deliciously moist… for me it was perfect. Spicing and flavour were lovely…thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Great Indo-Caribbean taste ?

Not a bot, not compensated… just a satisfied Winnipeger who wanted to drive back to The Forks tonight for more :-)

I’ve always liked their roti’s…but this time the flavour was good, but the food was cold. I should have sent the food back - food that isn’t at the proper temperature is prone to bacteria growth…Sure enough, 5 days later I’m still having intestinal “issues”..

I always feel bad for giving a negative rating....
But the frozen/microwaved vegetable roti was not very nice.

The vegetables were the kind that you get for 3$, in the frozen aisle. I ended up throwing out half it of even though I was starving. Completely tasteless.

If you buy your vegetables fresh, and add some chickpeas or something other than potatoes and 'assorted vegetables', I think it could be so much better!

Now I am very tempted to make a roti at home, just to see how much better I can do it.

We ordered Bindy's for an office lunch for about 30 people. There were alot of great compliments on how good the roti wraps were, and yes they were filling and very tasty. Thank you for catering our lunch!

If I could rate this non-authentic Trinidadian restaurant a 0, I would. Disgracing the name of doubles, rotis, and rice dishes (using snow peas and bagged vegetables more than meat for the price). Supplied it for a party, everyone took a few bites, leaving majority of the food for the garbage. Embarrassing to present guest this food. Never in my life have I seen doubles that look like this…. Usually I would eat multiple doubles, but one was disappointing enough. Roti contained mostly potato’s and 5% of it was meat. But the platter…. for that price? Dryed jerk chicken and dollar store plantain. Biggest scam. Water down sauces. I could go on. Usually I would be understanding and give a dish a chance, but this was unacceptable for the price and food quality.

I could eat the jerk vegetable roti every single day. The chickpeas were cooked to perfection, the veggie mix was spot on, and the way it all came together was flawless. I added in a samosa and that was also incredible. Way too much food for one person, so I am grateful my husband was there ti share.I love that Bindy’s is on the quieter/calmer side of the market. Good spot for conversation and an enjoyable setting for a meal.

Awesome West Indian food. I love their doubles. The staff are so friendly and they make you feel like you’re at home. Also love going to the food court and people watching while listening to the buskers of the Forks! It’s so charming.
