I bought Eggplant with Walnut dip, Tabouleh, falafel, Manakish with Zahtar (the bread was so tough almost broke my teeth on it), sweet Baklavas stuffed with walnuts and another with Pistachios. They did not taste good. I threw out $20.00 worth of food. - I know good tasting Middle Eastern food. I was born in Egypt and I have lived also in Lebanon for a number of years. The only good tasting thing was the Tahini sauce that came with the Falafel.
Every time I'm in Winnipeg stop in, especially for hummus, baba ghanoush and fatayer.
Just bought some wraps after seeing a TikTok video. Huge. Bigger than any of the other ones I’ve gone to.
Very filling (and I’m a big guy). Very reasonably priced, like you get what you pay for (not many restaurants nowadays are like that.
I thought the wraps/takeout food was only available at their st Mary’s, but Portage has them. Definitely worth the money.
Got 2 chicken 1 beef shawarmh great food and service highly recommend
Great food, quality, and large portions.
Very disappointed this time with my order today. I ordered before more than 3 times and they were delicious, but today probably is my last time ordering.
I ordered:
- chicken shawerma: chicken was dry and was not marinated at all
- beef shawerma: the beef was undercooked and had no flavour
- konafa: salty and probably they forgot to add the sugar syrup on top so it tasted so bad
- baklava: extremely sugary and soggy
The quality compared to the times I ordered before is extremely poor. Never again
Awesome vegan options. Thank you!
Great food, but poorly organized, and under staffed. For what is supposed to be quick take out food.... I don't have time to wait 30 min for grabbing lunch. Three people working, but only one girl prepping and cooking for everyone.... I feel sorry for that person!
LOVE pre-made items to purchase. Falafel, babaganoush, pickled turnips & fresh pitas
If you are from the middle east or North Africa, if you like the Arab good so go to Blady where you find all that you want. Only a negative point, the store is small and the space between shelfs can't support two persons

Love their shawarma.
Wife and I tried the chicken shawarma, felafel and kibbeh. Shawarma was tasty with nice soft wraps. Felafel was nice and crispy on the outside with a great flavor. The star was the kibbeh! First time trying it and it is a flavor explosion as soon as it hits your tongue. Salty, nice spices and a delicious meat inside. Could have eaten a dozen of those!
Food tasted very good, only problem is it gave me the shits. Brother had a gyro from there was well and had issues after eating. Food handling/storage must not be on par.
Blady Middle Eastern store is located on Portage avenue in Wolsely. They carry a wide variety of middle eastern products and feature a fast food restaurant which serves schwarma and other middle eastern delicacies. It is a short drive to Polo Park and free street parking is available
The best under the city🤤
