My wife and I visited Block & Blade for the first time, last night, and had a positive experience, but overall it was just average, which is why I only gave a 3 star rating. We liked the upbeat vibe in the bar and the server was friendly, knowledgable and efficient. The food, however, was just mediocre. It was fine - we didn't have a bad experience - but for the price, we would have expected higher quality food. It was lacking in flavour and presentation.

I ordered a mushroom burger and the taste was so good, but it was just a little smaller than the burgers I had in other places.

Got the clubhouse twice from here and both times it's fallen apart because of the bread.
If they used a stronger bread like a French bread, it would be perfect.

Picked up brisket (not bison) nachos to go. With tip and tax it was like $40 which is insane but it was some of the best gf nachos I've ever had!

We weee a group of 12 there for a birthday celebration. Desirae was our server. Service was very slow. Disappointing since we were charged an 18% gratuity. I don’t feel it was deserved.

Overall, our food was prepared well and was tasty. The French Onion soup had great flavour. The salad I had, topped with blackened chicken, was great!
They had a problem with their fountain drinks, which were flat. However, they were able to resolve the issue.
The hostess and serving staff were great and did a good job looking after our table's needs.

Nachos $30 a plate. 70% bare nachos with hardened cheese by the time it arrived. Hardly any dip- enough to dip about 1/4 of your serving. Lots of chips - but super cheap on the toppings. :( sad

"CHICKEN" lettuce wraps, there was NO chicken! Was a very tomato based spaghetti sauce with a few tiny tiny pieces of grey GROUND chicken no hoisin flavour, lettuce was limp. Server asked if i wanted a to go container. I said no thanks it was awfull and thats as far as it went. 20 bucks for a cup of bland tomatoe sauce and wilted lettuce.

The first thing that attracts me in a restaurant is the ambience, then the service, and the food will determine if I’ll go back there or recommend. Block and blade checks it all exceptionally well. Beautiful space, amazing service, and the food… so tasty. Not to forget they have amazing cocktails too.
