high quality sushi for a takeout place, even better than some sushi restaurants. very generous cuts of fish, good ratio with rice. great presentation and kind staff. highly recommend. its alittle more expensive but the quality is there and definitely worth your money.

I discovered Bon Sushi when I moved to Winnipeg in 2018 after spending considerable time in Japan for the preceding 5 years. My then girlfriend (now wife) is Japanese and was visiting Winnipeg with me and wanted nigiri sushi. We'd been disappointed several times by sushi in Winnipeg...Thankfully Bon Sushi proved to be different 1) reasonable prices 2) ample and generous amounts of fish 3) fresh and good quality fish. I don't know where they source their fish in the middle of Canada and while keeping prices down, but somehow they do it.My only real criticism, if you can call it a criticism, is that sometimes they cut the fish in odd ways (ie. no how you would see it in Japan) but this may be a function of the how their fish is sourced.I've never tried their more non-traditional, more North American-style sushi and cannot speak to their quality. But their simple maki and nigiri sushi are great. Probably the best take-away sushi in Winnipeg. Frankly better sushi than most sit down/higher-end sushi.
