Bourbon St Grill

I stopped by the Bourbon St. Grill at the Outlet Collection and was seriously impressed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned especially the bourbon chicken and noodles, which were cooked just right. The portions were generous for the price, and everything came out hot and fast even during a busy rush. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The area was clean and well organized too. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m at the mall highly recommend grabbing a meal here!

We have been loyal customers at Bourbon Grill and usually order food here every time we visit the outlet mall. My husband and I enjoy the food, but what happened on Sept 29th around 12:30 pm was completely unacceptable and insulting.

We brought my mother, who is not familiar with Bourbon Grill, and wanted her to try samples before ordering. Staff were offering samples to other people, but when we asked Staff 1 for a sample of Bourbon chicken, she gave one piece. I shared it with my mom, and since she found it too sweet, we asked to try Cajun chicken instead. Staff 1 rudely refused, saying “No, it’s spicy.” When we asked again, Staff 1 and Staff 2 started talking in their own language for a few minutes. Staff 2 stayed silent at first, then also refused us.

This was extremely disrespectful. The way Staff 1 treated us was arrogant, rude, and dismissive. It felt like we were being singled out and insulted, especially since samples were being given freely to others.

We come here often and spend money at this location, but after this incident, it’s hard to trust a place where customers are treated with such poor attitude and disrespect.

I leave four stars and here’s my reasons.
1. It would be in their best interest to look into some of their top complaints in their reviews.
2. During my visit today, everything was fine enough, the food tastes okay and the portions were good. This is not cooked in front of you fresh, it is basically fast food, just like any other fast food chain would cook. They were very friendly and polite.
3. Just to help anyone that’s wondering, this isn’t a fancy restaurant where they cook in front of you, unless you’re a chef, or know the recipe well the food might not taste like what you expect. As an Asian who regularly eats like this at home, I can say that things all taste as they should and the food looks fresh enough for essentially eating fast food.

I don’t know what to do to chicken to give it the texture theirs had. You might see in my pictures some pale, distorted strips. That’s blackened fish! Maybe it had a bit of cayenne on it, but a far cry from blackened. Dispiriting sides, I just don’t know how anyone could appreciate this place.

Overpriced for what you get. The quality of the food has definitely gone down, from the last few times I've gone in a row. Guess todays visit will definitely be my last.

Greasy spoon. The bourbon flavours were just okay. We recently came from a 4-week trip to the deep south and this didn't compare. We both preferred the Asian stuff over the bourbon/bbq stuff. It was disappointing. The Asian stuff was so greasy and thickly breaded though. And veggies looked great but were really lacking in flavour. The noodles were good. I'm thinking the food is all frozen and reheated cuz it just didn't deliver or taste fresh. But the portions are very generous and reasonably priced at 15.99 each for combo 3 (2 meats, 1 veg, and rice or noodles). And the food court at this mall is very nice.

I’ve always loved Bourbon St Grill and the quality of food has been exceptionally consistent however, this review is based on the customer service and customer service only. I already knew that this is what I was going to eat so when I walked up to the store I asked them for combo 3 (which is their most expensive combo) which consists of rice or noodles + 2 meats and 1 vegetable . I told them I wanted bourbon rice, corn and bourbon chicken but I was torn between the 2nd meat as the options looked so good. I asked them to try a price of bourbon pork and the lady said we don’t give samples of bourbon pork and they only sample bourbon chicken & mango chicken. Now you may think I’m being petty but I understand that if I was just walking by and asked to try the bourbon pork and said no but I’ve already started my combo and I’m just asking you try bourbon pork so I can decide whether I want to add it to my combo or check something else out. These employees need to understand that they can use their discretion when it comes to the situation. They’re handing out chicken to the homeless as samples but I’m a paying customer asking to try the bourbon pork before I add it to my combo and they treat me like I’m some foreign animal trying to defraud their store. First of all, the owner of this establishment needs to better educate their employees and not stick to a damn script. You want to hand out bourbon chicken and mango chicken to everyone that walks but I can’t get a piece of bourbon pork to decide to add to my meal. The customer service here is absolutely terrible and I’m not sure how these people even have a job here. It’s sad to see how a place with good quality food can have such terrible quality employees.

I had such a wonderful experience here. The meals were fantastic and the staff were incredibly kind and understanding. Can't wait to be back again!
