My friends and I visited Café 22 because it looked like a great spot, the atmosphere and aesthetic were impressive. Everything went downhill once we were seated. The waitress didn’t offer us water; she simply told us to look at the menu. After receiving our food, we waited over 25 minutes before anyone came by to ask if we wanted refills. We noticed every other table was getting water and even a water pitcher, while we were practically dying of thirst. The service was honestly a -10. The food itself was mediocre, and to top it all off, the sodas were completely flat. Overall, a really disappointing experience despite the nice ambiance. They have the BEST gluten- and dairy-free pizza that I have ever had. By far!! Perfectly done crust, tons of toppings, delicious sauce, vegan cheese that tasted and felt like the real thing. I can't say enough good things about this pizza - it's very rare to be able to find something GF+DF that can passably imitate the real thing, much less be just as good as it!!! This is the real deal, definitely worth the $25.

I stopped by Café 22 for lunch on Wednesday for the first time with a friend, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding. I believe my server’s name was Layla. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and impressively efficient even while managing several tables on her own. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, a wonderful spot for lunch, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

My first experience here was pleasant. But unfortunately, my second visit here was much different. The food and the hospitality were not what I experienced the first time I came here. Specifically, an unpleasantly rude and unprofessional run in with a server named Thomas. The Fig and Gorgonzola pizza was extremely bland. Overall, it was a very poor experience and I probably will never return.
Overall a really great experience whenever I come here. Food is always great, good prices, and servers are super friendly

It is a nice place to go but the service is horrendous. We went there last Friday night and the server was so rude and unwelcoming. Right off the bat, she was rude and didn’t show friendly behaviour. When we ordered food, she came and slammed the food on the table not once, twice but multiple times. Before the drink was over, she came and didn’t even ask my partner if she can take it. At the end, we asked for a bag and she spoke very rudely to my partner and said we don’t have any bags. The whole experience seemed rushed when we ordered so much food for two people. I would rather go somewhere else. Money is not a problem but the way we were treated was absolutely pathetic.

Fantastic Italian food in Winnipeg! Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and I’m originally from the East Coast so I’m used to NY Style pizza. Also, great apps and salads. Get a Negroni if you’re there 😋 they don’t play around, it’s boozy but delicious!! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for real authentic Italian food. Been here twice and can’t wait to go back again!
