Dishes were solid, and the value can not be beat. They had a server no show the night we were there, but Dario never missed a beat. He may be happier in the kitchen, but our service was as full of laughs and we never lacked for attention. Great night had by all!

Great restaurant, we were greeted by the owner. Very cozy and homie feeling. Food is Latin American- Colombian. Price is great and includes one appetizer, soup, salad, entree and dessert for $55 each. Great selection of wine and great environment.I had the lam chops and they were amazing. My girlfriend got the salmon and it was very tasty as well.

Love this place, foods always good. Great place for a date or to catch up with people. Good amount of time between courses.

Amazing food and chef Dario brought a couple dishes out himself. He has a great humour and the service was fantastic!

I travel fine dinning all across canada. This place will not cook with butter on request. How is that possible. Your paying for fine dinning. A place like Denny’s will even butter.

A nondescript building in an industrial area with decor that is - well - eccentric. You need to focus on the food. The price fix menu $44/person includes salad soup, appetizer, main course and an amuse Bouche dessert. The food is unique - Maybe Latino French fusion would best describe. I had a chicken cheddar roll that was almost like a large taquito. Cheesy goodness. Followed by rack of lamb with black cherry reduction and roasted beets. Such flavour cooked perfectly. A petite lscoop of chocolate mousse topped the evening. Chef Dario popped out to check on our table a couple times. He is a character. Service was attentive. Don’t let comments made elsewhere here about Chef Dario stop you from trying this out. It’s about the FOOD and this meal was an unexpected delight.

We thought that Cafe Dario was part of “Dine About Winnipeg’ but when we arrived, we learned they had opted out. When you aren’t expecting to pay a a fixed price meal of $49 per person it’s a bit stunning. Next time, call ahead and make sure the restaurant is partaking in the restaurant feature. So, now we are seated and we realize what has happened. Do we get up and leave or just ‘go with the flow’. We decided to stay. The meal was excellent, the server very knowledgeable. I would definitely dine here again but I would be prepared ahead of time to pay the price.

This was our second time coming to this restaurant and it's never disappointed. Myself I tried escargot for the first time with mushrooms and jalapeños for the appetizer. I really enjoyed the escargot, though it had quite a kick. The soup was a cream of celery, which was really interesting with ginger and star anise, really hit the spot with the cold weather on Winnipeg. The salad had a orange vinaigrette, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I had the fillet mignon for my entree and it had what I think was a Parmesan crust and was cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with a nice dark chocolate mousse. I would highly recommend anyone to try out Cafe Dario, it's in an interesting tiny house in an unexpected location in Winnipeg.
