Easily one of the best spots downtown - and arguably in the whole city.
The vibe is always on point, the service flawless, and I’ve yet to try a single dish I didn’t love. Wishing you continued success and many more full tables ahead!

Our first visit and had high hopes! Great atmosphere, was greeted nicely and the food came super quick. Unfortunately the food really lacks in flavour. My husband had the fish and chips ($26) and unfortunately pretty basic (I realize it’s a basic dish but some places are super tasty!). Our server was friendly enough however never came to check on us once and was just resetting tables the whole time, without even looking our way. We then sat with our empty plates for awhile…and when collected we weren’t asked how our meals were.
Perhaps other dishes are tasty and it is a cute space. We likely won’t be back, however :/

Had lunch there recently. Restaurant was lovely. Service was great. The steak salad was amazing. So delicious. I was full, but could have eaten more. It was just that good. Steak was cooked perfectly. The salad and the dressing was delicious.

Would not recommend, especially for those with dietary restrictions. Went here twice and both times the kitchen was unwilling to do any substitutions, even when the request was due to allergies. The server "joked" they would be punished for even asking about modifications. Nice atmosphere and decent food, but not worth it in my experience.

Nothing on the menu really spoke to me so ordered the pricey steak. I do not recommend the 49$ steak frites. Edible I guess but not worth the price. Even the mushrooms on top weren’t very appealing. Parmesan fries and the Malbec wine were great. I won’t be back.

This was a fantastic experience, the pickerel was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent, I liked the atmosphere of the place. You can see the chefs preparing your food and had to thank them for such a wonderful dish.
A group of us were staying at the Fort Garry hotel for a girls weekend. We headed over to Captials for food and drink. I asked our waiter if there were any specials on and he replied in a VERY condescending and dismissive manner “everything on this menu is special” His tone and demeanour was enough to turn us away. It was a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. We went back to the hotel and spoke to the front desk about how rude the service was at Captials and they suggested going to the Keg instead. Much better service and a lot more welcoming! Save your money and go somewhere where your presence is wanted and welcomed. I can’t say much else for the food as we left right after the rude service we received. Horrible customer service is enough to turn me away. I will not be returning nor recommending this facility to anyone based off of this incident. Do better. Treat your customers with respect.

Had a wonderful time here ☺️, the food was delicious and just enough portion to fill you up, I love my salmon and my lemon tart dessert. The staff were all attentive and courteous. It's a small but cute place, perfect for quick dinner date when you don't want to go fancy and don't want to go fast food either. Definitely will be back for another quick bite, and will definitely try the steak next time.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing for a private event!! We had a ~20 people event and went with a 3-course set menu. The food was absolutely delicious with very reasonable price. Every single thing we had, including the salad, three different options of entree, the chocolate mouse cake, and a few appetizers, are all incredibly tasty. The service is impeccable. And the atmosphere is elegant and at the same time very cozy. Highly recommended! Amazing experience!
