Only place where the customer is never right. The management was arguing with a customer for asking for a bacon and tomato sandwich. He ended up going elsewhere for this.

Service was good but the food was not so good. The fish looks like it came out of a box. My wife's chowder was very good. The cheese toast was obscenely expensive at $6.50 for 2 small slices of bread with a sprinkling of cheese... not recommended at

Nice little neighborhood restaurant. Food was good, flavourful but very greasy batter on the mushroom balls and fish. Service was friendly and quick to provide drink refills. Reasonable prices with generous portions.

This was my first time here. The first date went great, the food was delicious and the staff were great as well!
Arrived around 16:00 ,before dinner rush ,we were seated in booth ,started with a bowl of onion rings for table then ordered the Capt 'n combo plate of 2 pieces battered cod , dozen shrimp ,half battered/deep fried ,half warmed/peeled with a mound of perfectly cooked julienned fries and a small bowl of tasty coleslaw.The gals had the 1 piece pickerel with poutine ....loads of food , you don't leave hungry folks.After dinner we went to the lounge for a bubbly and some VLT s . They also have a couple 4x8 pool tables, a real neighborhood type feel to the place.

Nice little spot near the silver heights area, on portage avenue with ample of parking in the back. This place may look like it needs updates when you first walk in. But it makes up with customer service and taste. Enough seating space and wait time is very minimal. We have enjoyed this place and wanting to go back sometime soon.
