So, we had a craving for Chinese food and have had great experiences in the past with Chef Song so we put in an order for pickup. The food was just being packed at the time promised so it was still steaming when I got home.The food was FANTASTIC!!! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and they were very conscious of our request regarding the peanut and tree nut allergy in our family. No issues with the allergy.I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some great Chinese takeout!!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for our allergy issues!!
Updated:May14/23Placed my order day before oh no problem for the pickup time requested for next day. Showed up at pickup time actually 10 minutes before and had to wait 30 minutes for my order. Then get home with the food looked at the bill overcharged again. Sat down to eat all the meat was so overdone that we couldn’t even eat it. Went back to chef song with the meats and requested refund they came up with 35.00 ( my bill was 90$) I said know way, that’s not correct then they said another figure I took it and left, I went back later because they ripped me off another 15$ and he tried to say no that isn’t correct so I showed him my calculations and he gave me the proper amount refunded. I believe how they try to rip off customers. CHECK YOUR BILLS PEOPLE. The food isn’t good anymore at all received cold and dried out meats way overcooked. Soups were not 32 ozs only 24 ozs. And cold!Will not be returning here.Placed an order for pickup here. The food was very good better than alot of other Chinese places in area. Only thing the ginger beef was overdone, but it was still very tasty . But I was overcharged for the food according to the online prices. I was suppose to receive a free fried rice. & 10% discount for pickup. They also didn't put in a menu with the current prices. Just a debit receipt.

We have ordered from here before. Way better food and experience. Food was ordered online, and it said it would 1 hour 15 minutes. Ended being that and we waited in the lobby for another 45 minutes. Food was just ok. We will try a different resto in our neighborhood next time. Very disappointing, considering we had people at home waiting for dinner.

The lemon chicken was dry, over cooked.. was not impressed. Had it before and it was great! Was looking forward to it and was so disappointed!

I can't rate the atmosphere cause I never went I ordered. However, I'm not 1 to leave reviews. I've lived in Vancouver and tend to dislike most Chinese food here in wpg next to those on Pembina hwy. I'm located in East winnipeg and tried this place having a craving and let me tell you ?. They are good! Veggies are crispy, meat is fresh and they give good portions. Extra RICE ? is very appreciated ?. If they keep this consistency there my #1 now. Ordered the black pepper beef shrimp mixed vegetable Deluxe rice the only critique on the deluxe rice is it could been a bit more spicier and I would preferred not the carrots as they were I believe previously frozen. Other than that the rice was great and every other dish was fantastic

Chef song is the best chef I ever meet. Love the food there, last night we was ordered the party tray for our family. General Tso’s Chicken. This was the best chicken I ever try!!!! Next time when you want to eat something, you could show them pictures. Their price was affordable and reasonable.

they only had combination Plates for three or more peoplewhat they call dinner entrees really are not considered dinner entrees..They're basically a plate full of one specific item. And to Make a Complete Meal you have to order 2 or more of the Choices. it is not a good Place for a Person By themself to Dine ...it is Better with 3 or more People that are all Sharing.

Over all the experience was mediocre at best. I was expecting more based on everyone's past reviews. Upon arriving at the restaurant they couldn't find our order and another customer was waiting over 2 hrs for his. They made his order wrong and expected him to just deal with it. Once I actually got my order the food wasn't very warm and upon getting home, found we were missing the sauce for the chicken balls. The actual flavour of the food was lacking. We spent almost 100 on food the experience and food quality just didn't hold up. There are much better Chinese restaurants in the area
Chef Song has THE best food in the city! We have ordered so many different dishes and they have ALL been exceptional, very authentic and the staff go above and beyond! Excellent customer service and THE best Chinese food our City has to offer! Thank you Chef Song for having THE best food and THE best service!

I have ordered from there before and food was very good, but not for a while. This time the food was dissapointing. Deluxe lo mein was basically all noodles. Probably a tablespoon of meat,the 3 shrimp. A couple of slices of mushrooms. Overwhelming taste was oil not the black bean garlic that was my choice. We had the deluxe singapore noodles. Again about a tablespoon of meat . Did have a curry taste but if these were deluxe I wonder about the reg versions. Almost 14.00 per dish for basically noodles. We won't go back .Not sure what changed but its not the same

Went there lastnight to try their buffet. Not very good selection, the food was cold. The food was not good, was very bland, and didn't have any flavor. They only had paper plates and plastic cutlery too, which was very odd. My partner got food poisoning a shortwhile after we got home. Will never go back or order from here!

Decided to leave our comfort zone and try something different. We were very pleasantly surprised! The place is clean, staff is kind and courteous and the buffet was delicious! It’s a cozy little whole in the wall, but that’s what we loved about it…we will definitely be returning!

Went for Chinese on a whim and enjoyed the buffet Friday night. The reason for three stars was nothing for us tasted that great..in the same breath nothing was bad. The service was great, but we will probably not swing by again. Maybe it was just different because it's buffet and depending how busy it is, food can get cold. Not too sure.?? Still an establishment that would be worth a shot if your going for the first time.
