Food was good. They were out of a lot of stuff but the awesome audio bathroom hallway was sweet.
Only went for the bread (so nice to get it fresh from the ovens like I did luck out on), and dainties at the Store Next Door. Service is one order at a time (to completion. Espresso the grind-pack-brew-steam way created a line up) so more relaxed style. Can't comment on anything else
Surprisingly disappointing. Had the truffle frites, they were tasty. The other dishes we tried all missed the mark. :(
Hands down one of the bread restaurant experiences ever. Great food, amazing service and very very attentive to our dietary needs in a large group. Every single one of us was taken care of.
An interesting place to visit.
We met with Kyle for a cake tasting. As soon as we walked in, we were standing at the counter for a few minutes without anyone acknowledging us with even a hi because they were all busy baking. However, as a tip, for better customer service, you should greet people who walk in and just tell them you will get to them as soon as you get a chance. We brushed this off since the wait time wasn't too long. We had a pretty good experience at first once it finally came to the cake t
Intimate eatery with a lovely bakery next door. Service is great and personable. I enjoyed the beef tar tar.
Food is delicious but the portions are tiny and bit pricey. Atmosphere is lovely and cozy though small place. Overall a good experience. (I attached photos from February 2019 - most ofthe photos you have on google maps are out of date and you will not find them in the menu)
Even though we live four hours away, we try to make a point of visiting Chew at least once a year. So far, we have experienced this lovely little place on 6 or 7 occasions and enjoyed our experiences there each time. The food combinations inspire me to expand my palate and my cooking/baking experiments. (Chew offered me the first time experiences of actually enjoying foods I had never been able to enjoy eating.) I find so much value in that. Also, I would just like to say that we always leave with some delectable treat from The Store Next Door. Always looking forward to our next visit!
This place does not have much seating so you need to make a reservation but it is definitely worth checking out! Lots of interesting things on the menu! The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. A unique experience!

Amazing carrot ginger cashew soup du jour. The beef tartar is tasty, but the bread which finishes off the meal reminds of my France travels.
We reserved a table for four to celebrate a birthday. We came with high expectations, based on a previous visit. While the experience was fine, we found the dishes ultimately unsatisfying, particularly given the price. We won't be rushing back.
Want here for burger week so u can disregard this post. It wasn't busy around 8ish pm we stopped just a couple. And faster us took awhile to get services was ok.
We really wanted to love this place and make it our regular neighbourhood cafe and restaurant. Their menu is really interesting and their dinner fare is delicious, if on the expensive side. But unfortunately the service and bakery items are just not satisfactory. While service can be friendly sometimes and to some people, it can also be extremely slow and sometimes a bit abrupt and unhelpful. We have given this spot three tries, and the first was okay (though the fried croissant thing was extremely dry), but at the second and third we got our questions answered from people yelling from the back or not noticing us at the counter for at least 5 min. Maybe we will try again in a year or two
Chew used to be my favorite restaurant and I was excited to go back for the first time since the new chef took charge. Sadly, the new food was not nearly as good as the previous chef's menu. The ingredients are still of good quality but the dishes I tried lack cohesion among the components. To add insult to injury, was the way the restaurant was redecorated. The new aesthetic and utensil choice are sub par and the walls are worse. Whoever repainted the walls doesn't know what painter's tape is. The wallpaper is applied poorly near objects on the wall. Also there is a typo on the new menu; gnocchi is spelled "gtocchi". Chew Restaurant: incompetent or just don't care anymore?
