Came here with the family and family friends (10 people) and were very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The server was great and attentive with us and patient with the kids. The spicy garlic, miso pork, shoyu, and shio were excellent. The agedashi tofu and chicken karaage were tasty. Each of the dons were very good. The servings are generous and quick to come out. Will be coming back next time we're in Winnipeg and recommend to anyone.

We ordered the:
Shio - chicken broth w/chicken; the taste is delicate
Shio - pork broth w/pork protein w/ no veggies, added seasoned egg; nice rich savory broth flavor
Spicy garlic - pork broth w/pork protein w/no veggies, added seasoned egg; tastes delicious, 3.5/5 on the spicy scale (this was the table's favorite)
Note: the garlic chips are definitely a value add

I placed an Uber Eats order for the Cho Ichi Original Ramen and while the broth and noodles were good, the rest was super lacklustre. The pork was 80% fat, I ripped it off as it was unappetizing, and the chicken was chewy and hard. Not to mention in the first place that both meats were super dry, no flavour at all. Very meh, probably won’t order from here again.
