Got the chocolate cake for a friend’s bday and we were all shocked how good it was considering it’s gluten and dairy free. Tastes as good as a regular cake! The price is reasonable too.

I recently found out about this bakery and something told me not to hesitate ordering even though I had no idea what anything tasted like! I recently went gluten, dairy and soy free, I ordered a mixed berry pie, chicken pot pie, sourdough cinnamon buns, oatmeal raisin cookies, sourdough bread and sourdough hamburger buns.. the cookies.. to die for, the sourdough bread.. it’s killing me how delish it is.. and everything else looks so yummy I’m trying hard to space it out so I don’t put myself in a food coma. Do not hesitate to order, you will not regret it. Thank you @cocoabeans for providing such a delish alternative tt people who have food intolerances.. #customerforlife ❤️❤️❤️

Love all of the gluten free and dairy free options available here. The sourdough is fantasitc, the baked goods, birthday cakes, I can go on and on. So nice to have so much variety when you and your family have specific dietary needs.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options available.

I follow a gluten free and dairy free diet so it’s hard for me to find a place where I can eat. Their entire menu is gluten free and they also have dairy free, vegan and sugar free options so they can accommodate a lot dietary restrictions. I’m really sad to hear that the restaurant closed as this was my go to place. They still have grab and go lunch options but their menu is more limited now. I really hope your new location isn’t too far away as I would like to keep supporting you.Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is gluten free. They also have dairy free, vegan and sugar free options.

I love Cocobeans, I am celiac and have been going here for years. It really is unfortunate they stopped serving hot food as this was one of the only restaurants I could count on when my husband and I would go out for dinner. Now they do mostly cakes and desserts with frozen food you can take home. We lost huge on this change. ** thanks Cocobeans for the response. We are still patrons and will Continue to be. Hope that someone will carry the torch tooo! ?

It was my first time ordering from here after searching it on google, and I must say I love this place. Just finished the jam cookies, and had some of the bread. It’s homemade quality. And the staff was incredibly nice, definitely a go to for me.

This was the first time visiting this Bakeshop, and likely the last. The staff here was neither friendly or welcoming, seemed more concerned about having their conversation interrupted than serving customers. I came in to pick up cinnamon buns to take home for breakfast. They were very tough and rubbery with very little filling, not enjoyable at all. My husband threw out half of his because he was so disappointed.

This is my absolute favourite place! My fiancée and I are frequent customers and have never had a bad experience. I have celiac disease, and I am a vegetarian, and find it extremely comforting to have a safe place to find baked goods, frozen meal options, and baking supplies. Their food is amazing and their staff are the kindest people. I 100% recommend!

Ever since we found this place a month ago We've been eating here ever since. The bakery part is the best part. They have macaroons, tarts, cupcakes, cookies, cake and so much more. I have severe celiac disease but I feel safe eating at this place. And to top it off. Fantastic service as well.

Cheeseburger was yummy! Loved the yam fries! The staff was friendly and answered questions easily. My brother and I have been wanting to eat here for awhile. So glad we did! We'll be back!

The best gluten free bakery I've found in town since I had to go gluten free. Great quality and value for a fantastic set of products. Huge kudos from me as over the last little while they've modified their bread recipes to be completely pea/soy/legume free; which I really appreciate as someone with a bad legume allergy. Cocoabeans is the only gf bakery in Winnipeg that I have found has done that, and it is a huge relief to be able to see ingredients lists (also rare from gf bakeries) and know that I can safely eat and enjoy.Favourites include their sourdough loaf (personal favourite), teff loaf (fantastic sandwich bread), multigrain loaf (amazing for French toast), teff buns (I got to enjoy a burger for the first time in years!), and sourdough baguettes.I haven't tried any of their cakes or cookies but I've heard great things from others, and also about their ready cake mixes. Highly recommended.

The staff are welcoming, friendly and very easy-going. It felt like talking to friends. I dined in with my sister, who paid for me via gift card. I had the Chicken Tenders entree with an Iced Americano(dairy creamer, added hazelnut syrup), and sister had Today's Special, which was a pulled-pork poutine, as well as an Iced Americano(non-dairy creamer, added vanilla syrup). We also grabbed some Peanut Butter, and Chocolate chip cookies. The food was stellar. Its kind of a stereotype for gluten-free food to be a little lackluster, but I, a gluten enthusiast, enjoyed it whole-heartedly. The entire meal was incredibly well-seasoned, and came to us piping hot. The chicken tenders have a dry rub on the outside, so don't expect something like crispy fried chicken. The fries were out of this world. Crunchy on the outside, soft, pillowy potato deliciousness on the inside. Seasoned and herbed to perfection. The portion size was medium-large, but they also offer snack-sized portions. The atmosphere is really lovely. The only vivid colours you see are a light green back-wall, as everything else is a wood/brown tone. There is lots of natural light, and 2 lights by the counter. For people with sensory issues, I would say maybe bring some headphones, because they do have speakers playing music. The only reason I rated this 4 and not 5, is because parking is incredibly limited. It was difficult to find parking on side streets, and it accounted into a fair bit of walking. The door is also a bit narrow. For those reasons, I believe someone who has/needs mobility aid(s) may find difficulties. They do have accessible seating, and an accessible patio.

I have really enjoyed Cocabeans food over the past several years, especially with a family member who is celiac. However, I'm finding the increased prices and reduced hours hard to swallow. Over the past few years I've found the portions smaller, the food more expensive and the hours difficult. I have always loved their food and want to support local businesses but getting there in a narrow window on the weekend to pay $50 dollars for 4 times making this difficult to do so.
