I have waited to write this review as consistency is an important factor when making judgement. For the better part of a year I have been using their takeout service, with packaging also being a factor. Thus far I can say that this place has very good service, exceptional food with a nice atmosphere. They have been very accommodating with our dietary restrictions eagerly awaiting to please. I would say with full confidence that I will regularly be a customer at Red Chillis Selkirk. If you haven't tried their menu yet, you are missing out on satisfying fare! Do yourself a favour don't wait any longer.

Had two disappointing experiences that justify the rating:
During a dine-in visit, we ordered vegetable spring rolls, but were mistakenly served meat spring rolls, likely due to a communication issue. When we asked for clarification after noticing the smell, another server quietly took the plate away without acknowledging the mistake. There was no apology or accountability, and we were simply encouraged to “try another batch.” For many Indian customers, vegetarianism is deeply important, and we expect an Indian restaurant to respect and understand that. Even if mistakes happen, acknowledgment and sincerity go a long way.
On a separate occasion, we ordered delivery with multiple items, including a clearly listed Assorted Bread Basket. We received the wrong item, and when we called to address it, we were told they don’t even carry that item, despite the proof shown on Uber Eats. Again, no ownership of the error, just deflection.
The food itself is decent, but these issues with accuracy and customer service are repetitive and frustrating, making it hard to rely on them in the future

We asked for the main course to be served 10–15 minutes after the appetizers, but everything arrived together. The breads (naan and garlic naan) didn’t seem freshly made, they tasted pre-cooked and just reheated. The tawa chicken was rubbery and felt more like goat meat. On the positive side, the chilli fish and chicken soup were tasty.

Had the Paneer Tikka Wrap at Red Chilli Selkirk and absolutely loved it! The flavors were rich, the paneer was soft and perfectly grilled, and the wrap was packed just right. Great food and friendly vibes — highly recommend!

Very friendly staff, and great price for what you get! Our total was $50 for all this food! Great taste, but beware that some dishes can be quite spicy. Highly recommend!
