Cottage bakery is located on Pembina Highway in Fort Gary. It is an absolutely great place to stop by for lunch or a quick snack. They offer many things, including poutine, fries, burgers, but they specialize in sweets and pastries, including cookies – oatmeal, chocolate chip as well as lemon cake, apple strudel, croissants, and many other pastries. Very high-quality bakery overall. There is seating inside for about 20 as well as an outdoor patio. There is free parking outside and the staff is very friendly. Overall, I highly recommend.

Just a bit rude. We sat in to eat. Waited 10 minutes, no server (3 people behind the counter were doing nothing but gossiping). So I head to the counter to ask if we require ordering at the counter beforehand. I was told a server would be with us shortly (same 3 people continue to gossip). 10 more minutes go by, nothing. So we left. The next restaurant, we had a server within a minute of sitting down.

Found this shop completely by accident, and so glad I did. Their iced mocha is excellent, and my partner raved about his medium roast coffee. The selection of pastries is overwhelming but they are fresh and delicious. I ended up purchasing one of their fresh baked loaves of bread and a Saskatoon pie and am excited to try both! Service was also great. Can’t wait to return on my next trip to Winnipeg.
